Hygge House - Kangaroo valley

‘Hygge’ meaning cosy or comfortable in Danish is exactly how you will feel staying at this beautiful home. This charming four bedroom property is in a lovely location on an acre of land just minutes from Kangaroo Valley village. The home has been newly renovated and is the perfect destination for your next family getaway.

Hygge House has 4 large bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. While the property can accommodate
family groups of up to 10 including children it is only suitable for a maximum of 8 adults. The sunny master bedroom has a King size bed and its own ensuite. There is also a King bed in the second bedroom which can reconfigure to 2 King singles, a Queen in the third and two sets of bunks in the 4th bedroom.

The open plan living area has a slow combustion wood fire and the fully equipped kitchen complete with Nespresso coffee machine has everything you will need for preparing family meals together.

Please note that while the property does have a TV there is no free to air TV reception available. Complimentary DVD's are provided and guests can also plug their own devices into the TV.

The property has verandas front and back so there is always a spot to enjoy peaceful moments while taking in the view of the surrounding mountains. The wildlife is abundant and many species of birds can be spotted. The rear deck has an outdoor setting perfect for alfresco dining and there is also a portable gas BBQ.

Hygge House is located on an acre of level lawns and gardens so there is plenty of room for the kids to play and explore. The property is located on a quiet street surrounded by other large properties so has a rural feel ,yet is conveniently located on the outskirts of Kangaroo Valley village.

The town centre is just a 2 minute drive away (or 20 minute walk) and it is only a 5 minute walk to the historic Hampden Bridge and Kangaroo River which is a great place to cool off in Summer. Bring your own bikes or scooters for the kids as another transport option into the village and just over Hampden bridge is the KV pump track.

Please note that this property is located in a semi rural/residential area with other properties in the vicinity. We cater for family groups and have a strict no party policy. Any disturbance or trespassing onto neighbouring properties may result in guest's booking being terminated.

Hygge House was everything it promised and more. Beautiful interior designed for cozyness and comfort with a wood stove for the chilly evenings. Extremely well stocked kitchen with every appliance, dish, and amenity you could wish for and a wonderful large dining table, perfect for our group of eight. Bedrooms/bathrooms all spacious and very comfortable.Gardens are beautiful and we loved seeing kangaroos lying/hopping around right outside the window.The township is an easy walk from the house with plenty on offer in cafes and cute boutique stores.We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and only wished we had booked a few more nights. Hygge House is incredible value for the price.
