We visited holiday inn on 1st November 2019 till 5th November and it was a wonderful stay there. Staffs literally treat guests like God. They literally live upto the saying 'ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA' It was a wonderful stay and most memorable. Would love to visit again and again Mr. Sreeju , the restaurant supervisor was so so helpful and really made us feel at home. Pool is lovely with good guards. Beaches are mindblowing n safe. Good activities One of my most stunning n charming holidays Thank you holiday inn

I had a very short stay here as I was traveling with my daughter as part of the B.A Cabin crew. The boat transfer was excellent with cold hand towels and water provided. We were then given a welcome drink and information about our location and things to do. We were then taken by buggy to our rooms. Stunning right on the front really comfy bed with a fridge and outdoor shower room....very different. The island is beautiful, you can walk round it in about 20 mins. The staff and service are excellent and they cant do enough for you. We ate in the buffet restaurant and it was excellent especially for vegetarians as everything is labeled. It is very expensive though, as is everything on the island. We sunbathed on the very comfy loungers, towels and beach bags are provided. We watched the black tipped sharks being fed and gazed at the lovely sunsets.

we stayed in this island from Nov 1 till Nov 3. It was short but worth remembering. The guests were friendly and the STAFF were professional. They take pride in everything they do and we are just simply carried away by the kindness of the GM , Front Office ( Mr. Inan ) and the Greek Chef ( Costas) . The Maldivian waiters are fascinating as well , They never say no to my food request , they say ill see what can i do? and alas i have mas mirus and chapati. Chef angel as well has a cute smile which is a nice thing to see . The Filipina Buggy driver ( Miss K ) was great as well, In sum our stay was a big YES and 2 thumbs up. I am an IHG member and I will come back to this property soon and definitely a place like this and a wonderful amazing staff is worth coming back..

My husband and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at Kandooma which we booked through Perfect Wave travel as my husband is a keen surfer. Why Kandooma? There are literally hundreds of resorts to choose from in the Maldives and there are some unbeatable all inclusive package deals available which include transfers, all meals, all drinks, massages, activities BUT when you are looking for Surf friendly resorts your options are pretty limited. It basically comes down to budget – there is a few extremely exclusive five star properties with 5 star price tags, there is middle of the range where I feel Kandooma sits and then there are budget surf camps. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary so apart from the option of surfing we wanted to do something special and it truly was. From the moment you walk through the Male airport arrival door until you disembark the boat for your flight home the Kandooma staff are on hand and are so helpful and attentive. The transfer from Male airport to the resort is fast and efficient. We arrived very late at night – nearly midnight so when we woke the next day we felt like we had arrived in paradise. The rooms are all lovely, spacious and very clean. We spent 4 nights in a Beach Villa then moved to and Overwater Villa for 3 nights which was honestly the highlight of our holiday. The villas are so spacious and luxurious and the fact you can sunbake and swim from your private balcony directly into the water is fantastic. The colours of the water need to be seen to be believed. There was so much marine life that could be viewed from the beach, piers and the balcony of our Overwater Villa that you hardly needed to snorkel with the most amazing colourful tropical fish, reef sharks, stingrays and eels easily visible. Buffet breakfast was top class and it was nice to be able to order barista made coffee all included. All the meals we ate including fine dining at The Kitchen, Buffet dinners at Kandooma Café and A-la Carte at Bokkurra Café were all of a very high standard. Just a heads up everything is VERY expensive when you are travelling with AUD. I totally understand the logistics as you are on a remote island however for us Aussies it is pricey. Prices are all in USD and once you add the 22% tax to everything and convert to AUD prices are pretty much double that shown on the menu. For example a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc was US$54 add tax and convert is AUD $95, Nachos USD $20 works out to AUD$35. The buffet dinner was US$69 add 22% tax and convert to AUD = $121.00. There were meal plans available however these too were very expensive. Breakfast was included with our room and to add on a half board lunch and dinner package was USD $99 add 22% tax and that converts to AUD $175 per person or $350 per couple per day or $2450 for 7 days. This does not include any drinks and means that ALL meals are buffet/smorgasboard style from the Kandooma Café. You are not able to eat A-la-cart at Bokkurra Café or The Kitchen. A cocktail watching the sunset from the gorgeous platform deck above The Kitchen was a highlight. As was the shark feeding that takes place on dusk twice a week out the front of The Kitchen. The complimentary snorkelling trip which leaves each day at 7.45 was great even though it was torrential rain the day we went. Many other guests took part in jetski safaris, shark snorkelling trips, turtle snorkelling trips and there is also a visit to a nearby local village. All these activities are extra and again converting from USD to AUD were not cheap. Although it was the end of the surf season (last week in October) my husband managed to get in a few good surfs. He took advantage of the 3 boat trips offered each day to different surf breaks and also the break a short paddle out the front of our Beach Villa which he had to himself on several occasions. ALL the staff are so courteous and attentive and are a credit to the resort. Nothing is a trouble and always with a smile. The resort itself is very family friendly with kids staying, eating and drinking for free. There was a kids club and kids water play area. There were a lot of kids staying while we were there and the swimming pool area which is huge was usually quite busy as were meal times however there are lots of areas around the island you can get away from the crowds with sun lounges, day beds and deck chairs spotted in lots of different locations. The only negative I have is there was lots of large tour groups of 100 people or more staying one night or 2, coming and going constantly while we were there and were also a lot of airline staff who stay here. This meant snorkelling trips etc booked out very quickly and it can make meal times extremely busy especially at the buffets. As the weather was not so great it meant the outdoor tables could not always be used making the inside dining area very cramped and crowded. Sometimes certain foods ran out but it was replenished very quickly and staff were always on top of things constantly clearing plates and resetting tables. All in all this truly was a magical trip. The Maldives was even more beautiful that I had imagined and needs to seen to be believed.

Just loved it, like a postcard, so exotic. Staff really friendly, our favorite is Raaidh💕. Paddle board was amazing, snorkling the best ever, Corals by the water villas were amazing.. We will deffinetly be back.

My husband and I were looking for a quick and short holiday getaway and decided to visit Holiday Inn, Kandooma as its easily accessible via a speed boat and is only 45 mins away from the Male Airport. We took the IHG membership plus the all inclusive package and booked the over water villa which turned out to be great value for money. Special mention to Mr. Bandula and the Kandooma Cafe staff they were all very courteous and helpful and made our stay memorable. The island is breathtakingly pretty and picturesque and a paradise for couples!!! lot of water sport activities like Scuba diving, Fishing, Snorkelling, Catamaran and Flyboard etc is available on the Island.... can’t wait to be back here😊😊😊

Our second visit to this lovely island with Perfect Wave Travel. All staff are welcoming and pleasant, in particular the restaurant staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. Food excellent and rooms clean and comfortable. Upgraded to a surf lodge this year, well worth it. Perfect Wave crew - Steve and Courtney(really good yoga sessions!)Very good. Special mention to Max, here again on our second visit - always makes our surfing trips great fun. Snorkelling around the island excellent. No doubt we will back here again...

We had a family holiday for 5 days here and today is the last day . The heart is filled with satisfaction and warmth. Our stay has been remarkable and the credit goes to the amazing people who manage the facilities, they made us feel at ease and never had second thoughts to cater to any needs. Needless to mention the beauty and serenity of the Laccadive sea around Maldives is an amazing place.. feel like coming again sometime . The staff made is smooth right at the check in.. need to mention the guy at Kandooma cafe Visham whom we met every day evening and he was courteous and helpful . He made sure that our craving for the Indian food had been fulfilled as last night we had butter chicken with naan which the chef had cooked to perfection . Our guy at the parasailing trip Mr Bee who made our ride a smooth one . Sam the kenyan at the water sports center whom I took a swimming lesson were all great guys. My choice for holiday inn Kandooma was not an obvious one but I tell you it was an amazing experience . Thanks for all the courteous hospitality extended to us and we wish u all the good luck ahead

Took the all inclusive package directly from IHG and subscribed as a member. it turned up to have so many benefit such as priority for the late check out which was very important for me due the 9pm return flight. ( even though they don't mention it explicitly). Friendly staff and everything is just perfect. Good job to all the staff and hope to come again someday.

We spent four incredible days at the resort on a half board plan. Our room (78) was in front of the snorkeling point and it was amazing to wake up and diving in just as we liked. Breakfast buffet was sooo delicious that we made sure to arrive early every day (hahaha). We were also very satisfied with the buffet at dinner as well. It was never repetitive and everything we tried was sooooo good. We have also gone in the turtle snorkeling trip and it was one of kind experience. The guide was soo knowledgeable and brought us to the most amazing part where we saw many turtles. Thank you to all staff in Kandooma. You made our trip unforgettable!
