Very good customer service and room is clean with nice ambience plus interior. Situated in a very strategic location near shopping spot plus famous temples Had a good South Indian breakfast and dinner in hotel which come inclusive during my stay.
I had been Kanchipuram mainly for purchasing sarees. This hotel was definitely the best hotel in terms of both location and overall ambience. I would give the following ratings:- * Cleanliness - 5/5 * Food - 4/5 * Price- 4/5 * Location- 4/5 The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The famous saree shops were just 2-3 mins walk from the hotel, one of it was just opposite the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was quite good. I would highly recommend this place, especially to family travellers and even those going particularly for saree shopping.
Surprised experience GRT standard. 20 mins waited for a menu card 45 mins for a stater. Beer offer was not explain clearly. Service crew member buy 2 get 1 one, as I told him for takeaway, they forgot my 3rd beer. Chicken lollypop remained as Durms of heaven and given funny excuse. Dirty place not fit into any star class service. Definitely not worthy for what you paid. Must avoid cellar Bar .
I had blocked my rooms for one night well in advance in GRT Regency in Kanchipuram when we started discussion on visiting Athi Varadar in July given the crowd hoping for a nice stay. When we landed in the hotel, it was quite centrally located within the vicinity of all important temples including Varajaperumal temple. The staff right from Valet help to the room service, were extremely courteous and helpful and showed our rooms. Room was very comfortable and spacious to accommodate three of us. We were tired after a drive from Bangalore to Kanchipuram and ordered lunch - Bisibelabath and curd rice. While it was slightly a longer wait but when it finally arrived it was extremely homely and tasty. We made our way to the Athi Varadar temple for darshan which we got after a bit of struggle, but the night dinner was on time and very well served - Parontha and yellow dal with Paneer starters with curd rice. All the means have some nice fryums and pickle to go along :-). The staff were very responsive when the phone in the room was not working, they quickly attended to the complaint!! Next day complimentary breakfast really was impressive with elaborate variety of South Indian and continental menu and included right from Idli (both normal and Kanchipuram varieties), sevai, pongal, bonda, Puri masal, live counter for dosas, stuffed parota with curd, salads, breads including eggs and limited non veg items. While they had some interesting fruit juices, the icing was the butter milk :-).. Overall a very sumptuous and yummy breakfast post which we drove back to Bangalore and did not feel hungry till we reached our destination! I would rank this stay extremely pleasant and memorable. I would definitely recommend who want to stay in a more luxurious manner, this will be a place.. though slightly higher priced, it is definitely worth it.
Located at a very strategic location which is near to the kanchi kamakshi temple and the saree outlets are just walking distance from the hotel. The ambience of the hotel is good and the staffs were very helpful.
Rooms could be a little more spacious. Good service. Cooperative and helpful staff. Good vegetarian spread for breakfast. Good location. Got good advice and tips from front desk for AthiVaradar Dharshan.
