Amazing location with a stunning view over the river kwai. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the beds very comfy! The hotel has a museum and art gallery focused on the death railway and prisoners of war from WW2 which is very interesting to visit. The hotspringpool is also a must when staying here. I really liked the outdoor activities they have here, there is a lake where you can waterbike or canoe. Furthermore there is the Treetop adventure park to zip line through the forest. Didn't do this myself but it looked like a lot of fun! Both dinner and breakfast are very nice with many different options.
We selected the large, river-view suite and it was fantastic. The room was spacious and well appointed, and the balcony view was amazing. The restaurant provided a good breakfast and we took our evening meals here as well, particularly enjoying the fresh fish. There are no phones in the room, so if you need something (ice for cocktails) you have to walk to the restaurant. Luckily, we were close by. We loved this place.
Good decent resort, good pool with a hotspring section, staffs are great and helpful. Rooms are clean, stayed in a deluxe room -- spacious and could easily accomodate 3 pax. They have got a zipline activity in-house (extra pay) but worth the fun! And don't forget to visit Hell-fire pass, a short ride away.
We stayed here only one night. The deluxe room was great and comfortable. There are many activities to do. but what we did was spending time in the pool. it was so nice. We definitely go back there again. One more thing, the entrance of this resort was quite an adventure. You had to drive down the hill. Please be caution about this!
This resort is about 280 km.far from Bangkok, and we can drop by many tourist attraction eg. The giant monky pod tree, The Bridge of River Kwai, Sai Yok Railway stattion & Waterfall, Hellfire Pass. This place is very beautiful, natural place with full hospitallity, especially the male staff at hotspring & swimming pool. I likes the hotspring pool and Thai-Burmese Railway memorial museum. Thank you the owner and staffs for their full hospitallity.
Nice accommodation but beds a little uncomfortable! Food in restaurant is good Thai food, although catering for a more Western palate. Lots of good things to do in the resort; zip lines, trek to Mon village through rainforest, kayaking, museum for the railway. My only complaint was the demeanor of the staff....not unpleasant but not at all friendly.....very strange for Thailand! The resort is a long way out of Kanchanaburi but very close to Hellfire pass. Great for a couple of days but be prepared to go to bed early as everything finishes at 9pm and there is nothing nearby!
Room is excellent ist's new and clean We have fun at tree top adventure The staff has service mind Breakfast is good taste and we can see a beautiful scenery of the mountain and the river I like the hot spring We rent a boat treval along river kwai
We stayed at Home Phutoey in July during the rainy season which meant we had the pool and facilities to ourselves much of the time. It mainly rained at night or for brief periods and didn't impact on our holiday. The rooms are comfortable and spacious set amongst the jungle and the swimming pool and hot spring pool are excellent with stunning views of the lake. The food is good. The tree-top challenges and zip wire across the lake are great fun too. The excursion to Hell Fire Pass museum and walk are a must. The scenery is beautiful and the accompanying headset is really moving and informative with personal accounts from pows of building the death rAilway. A fantastic stay.
It's the quiet place for authentic relaxing time. We stayed for 2 nights so great with family day. Our Rooms were very clean without bad smell. We loved kayak and hot pool. So, it's worth the money :)
Good place for holiday with both adventure activities and very good facilities like hot springs and swimming pool. Room is really great with great service mind for their staff. I'd happily suggest this place to my beloved one
