This third-floor corner condo is perfect for couples or families on a budget. With three bedrooms and two baths, fully equipped kitchen and two balcony lanais. The primary bedroom and living room have air conditioning units. You will find this the perfect home base for getting to know Puako, its nearby beaches and the Island of Hawaii. The oceanside balcony lanai offers birdsong and fragrant breezes along with views of ocean, pool, plantings and Puako Beach Drive—a perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee or sunset skies. The pub table and six chairs make this the go-to place for meals. As a corner unit, this has a second balcony that expands the views to include the stately Kohala Mountain and Kaunaoa Bay, the location of the iconic Mauna Kea Bay Hotel. Amazing Puako

Condo located on Puako Bay, shoreline access everywhere. We stumbled on green sea turtles everyday. While away from the tourists, it was an easy drive to Waikoloa beach and swam in A Bay. Brought groceries from Safeway and KTA, kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The beds were comfortable. We had lunch / dinner at Island Lava Java, Rum Shack and Kai, they were all great restaurants. Mary and her crew were friendly, check on us during check in / out to make sure all went well. We had access to condo prior to check in time as we arrived in Kona very early.

The stay and place is great. But the 2nd bedroom had a lot of clutter in the closet. Would have been

2nd bedroom clutter needs to be removed. The room is small and did not have even room with the bags since the closet is full of clutter.

Best condo ever!

Located right next to Hapuna Beach, in a quiet residential area, you can't beat all this condo has to offer. You'll love the spacious patio overlooking the ocean, we spent every sunset out there! Very pristine and well maintained property, friendly residents and property management. Walk across the street to your private beach and look for the many sea turtles that bask in the area! Enjoy your stay, you won't want to leave!

Best part of our Hawaii trip

Surprisingly pleasant and convenient condo. Very roomy, corner space with a lot of windowsill , making it bright and airy. Being on the third floor meant excellent views of the ocean, hills and treetops, sunrises and sunsets as well as birdwatching. We enjoyed meals on the larger of the two balconies. We really enjoyed our stay at the Puako Condo. Very relaxing and away from the resort feel (which we liked) but close to resort amenities and a close by (across the street) and uncrowded beach. Great ocean and mountain view. The unit was very well stocked including beach chairs, coolers, snorkling gear, .... Sean from 2 Papayas was great and helpful in every way. The next door Puako General Store was very convenient for any small item that you may need.

Quiet sweet and relaxing

This condo is fully stocked with everything you need. Coolers, towels, anything extra you need. It’s an older building but built sturdy and quiet. Air condition is small but functional. It’s won’t be as cool as a hotel. We only ran the bedroom air at night . 2 papyays staff was friendly and attentive. Neighbors in the building are super nice. Enjoy being away from hustle. Puako is quiet with beaches very close. Visit the general store two doors down !

Great value. Nice place.

It's great. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo that is right across the street from the beach. I loved the condo and would/will return to it. It is a corner unit and I liked that a lot. And Mary/Sean as hosts were incredibly present and kind. The rooms are a good size, the internet is great (30 down, 7 up), the place is clean, and all the accessories are there - including chairs, and a ton of beach stuff. I had to stay vigilant with the screens at night or ..... bugs. But that is beach life! There is even a note of warning saying "if there are too many bugs, dim the lights" or something to that effect. So remember that and it will help. And other reviews that talk about the street noise are correct. The front bedroom with the king sized bed does hear the cars. But I was there solo and switched to one of the two back bedrooms and I was fine. There are no real negatives to this place - only information so you can behave and plan accordingly. This place is great and well worth your consideration.
