The hut is located on a large natural plot of land about 300 meters from Lake Traboch.
The cozy towns of Traboch, St. Peter-Freienstein and Trofaiach are located in the "Erzberg Leoben" region in the middle of the state of Styria and are an ideal holiday destination for those seeking relaxation and families. The mountain world of the Eisenerz Alps with the largest iron ore open-cast mine in Central Europe also offers impressive insights into the mining history and a wealth of possibilities in the midst of magnificent natural scenery. The "Wilde Berg Mautern - Wildlife Park" is nearby and the "Gesäuse - Wild Water and Steep Rock" National Park is easily accessible by car via the Präbichl and is a great starting point for wonderful mountain tours and hikes.
The Formula 1 RB-Österreich-Ring in Spielberg/Zeltweg is only 30 km from Lake Traboch.
