The pictures do not do it justice. If you are from North America this will give you the ultimate cozy Scandinavian vibe. The lighting, candles even during breakfast, and room decor was such a welcome in the cold rainy days in October. It was bare bones with no conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer but still simple, cozy with warm people working there. The beautiful library is across the street and great to see. So quick and easy to the downtown centre. Centrally located. We loved our stay!!

The staff were life-savers! They are all so friendly. All speak English very well. Check in is different from an American chain so plan ahead to be in hotel restaurant by 20:00, or make easy arrangements. The room was so quaint and beautiful. Breakfast was so traditional. I loved it. I've missed Kalmar and it was good to make a visit back and stay at this lovely place.

Mysigt hotell med bra lÀge, men blev besviken kring vissa saker: - personalen vid incheckningen var osÀkra pÄ nÀr frukosten serverades och det stod tvÄ olika tider pÄ hemsidan. - toalettstolen i badrummet satt inte fast i golvet och sitsen satt inte bra pÄ stolen sÄ man fick vara vÀldigt försiktig nÀr man satt dÀr - Inga rullgardiner, vaknade nÀr solen gick upp - stÀdning i badrum kÀndes slarvigt utförd, det var dammigt och kalkigt hÀr och dÀr. - vÀldigt lyhört, sov dÄligt dÄ jag hörde samtal frÄn rummen intill (inte skrik eller sÄ).

What a cozy place to stay! Everyone was so friendly the room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious with so many choices. The attached restaurant was so good I ate there both nights! I also got helpful ideas about places to visit while I was in the city.

Hilda is a perfect spot to return to

Hildas is very friendly and personal hotel, only a few minutes walk from Kalmars city center. We stayed there for two days during Ironman Kalmar. Their staf is very accomodating and solution oriented for all our requests and people we met have been staying there a few weeks at the time for like ages - the best way of expressing a review I belive.

Trevligt litet hotell, ligger bra och du har nÀra till allt. Frukosten Àr enkel men jÀttegod. En trevlig lunchrestaurant finns dÀr och dom serverar goda pizzor pÄ kvÀllarna. Mycket trevlig personal. Trevligt hotell

Mysigt litet hotell som ligger relativt centralt. NÀra till lokal busshÄllplats. Mycket trevligt bemötande av personal. Rummet var rent och lagom stort, sÀngen skön att sova i. Med endast en övernattning hann vi inte prova restaurangen. Frukosten var ganska liten men fullt adekvat. NÄgot högljutt pÄ natten pÄ grund av trafiken utanför, men med fönstren stÀngda gick det bra.
