the room itself was a little tired and basic but the hotel staff excellent, as was the breakfast. The location of the Hotel is excellent as it sits on the edge of a lovely old square and is only 500 meters from the station, and the marina is around the same in the opposite direction.
Stayed here for one night on my way to Stockholm I was given a room on the first floor, overlooking the back alley, the windows are not double glazed and are not sound proof. The back alley was filled with garbage bins, used both by the hotel and the restaurant & bar. Needless to say, there was a lot of noise throughout the night where the restaurant or hotel staff would throw stuff in the bins. The hotel did not provide any earplugs, luckily though I had some with me. Had I not put them in, I would not have been able to fall asleep. Pros: Location, there is a parking lot not far from the hotel and parking is free from 15:00-9:00 each day. Breakfast was very very good with a great selection Cons: Obviously the fact that the room was overlooking a back alley and it was noisy at night
I stayed here this weekend along with my association Rikstäcket for our annual meeting, and to hold sewing classes. From the very first greeting at check in all the staff at this lovely little hotel was above and beyond amazing! They helped out with everything we needed, they asked constantly if there was anything else they could do for us and always with a smile! I'm allergic to a few odd food items and they where super helpful making sure of the contents of the food, and one of the days when I couldn't eat either option, new, tasty food was made special for me, super quickly! All the food served was lovely, make sure you try the herb aioli (örtaioli). On top of this the beds where suuuuper comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud! I warmly recommend this hotel, both as a guest and as a place for events, superb! Thanks to all the lovely staff for making our annual meeting even better!
Great beds, great staff, great breakfast. Now they have added great soup and bread in the evening. And it is included in thee price. The location on the town square helps make this place one of my favorites.
Except for the rooms the hotel is good. Our room was smelly, didn't have a wardrobe or chest of drawers nor enough room for the suitcases. Bed was too soft. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpfull
We were here for two nights. Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Room was spacious. However, room was pretty dark (one little window) and the bathroom stunk. Room 510. Close to train station which is nice. Also, they have a movie station on tv which is a nice way to wind down at the end of a day of touring
Nice quiet hotel with very friendly hotel staff. No parking at hotel, But hotel parking and public parking close by. Sunny terrace in front of hotel. Good breakfast. Rooms very neat. Close to shopping streets and all kinds of restaurants
This hotel is in the Heart of kalmar. I was there for the kalmar ironman. The breakfast is unbelievable good with a lot of variety. The rooms are very clean. I really recommend. The employees are nice.
The best part of this hotel is the staff. We were on a longer trip visiting several cities and needed to do laundry. The staff helped arrange to have our laundry picked up and returned the same day. I was very appreciative. The hotel itself is in a great location and was clean. I think they might be in the process of remodeling. Our room was kind of old and very small; what you expect in NYC.
The Hotel is nicely situated in the old cetre of town. Easy to walk around and get aquaited with the town. "Handy size" The breakfast is good. Our superior room was worth its price. A small setback was that we got the wrong code for the garage. The restaurant was good.
