I loved that the rooms have doors to walk outside of your bedroom. The staff knocked on our door to view the Northern Lights. The restaurant offers a variety of items on their menu. It was great since we were exhausted and not able to drive around looking for a place to get some food. The staff was very friendly and even let us check in early. The room is spacious enough for 2 people. The bathroom was very clean and plenty of hot water. The room does get a little warm, but we opened our windows. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful location, incredible staff, entire hotel spotless as if it was brand new. Room was very comfortable; hotel was located conveniently to major attractions on the south route 1. Only negative, and it's a major one, is the food. There is a fixed dinner menu for the entire week, with only a few, EXTREMELY overpriced selections. I realize this is an island and things will be more expensive, but $40 for a small piece of fish, with a side dish of exactly two pieces of cauliflower, is just asking too much. The $25 Euro breakfast is also overpriced and roughly equal to the free breakfast you'd get at a Holiday Inn in the USA. Enjoy the wonderful hotel, just drive about 25km east to the first gas station you find, which has a wonderful local restaurant attached. Reasonably priced, delicious food, with a great menu.

Great hotel, great service overall. Clean, friendly staff, and in a beautiful area. We even got to see the northern lights, on our last night!! The onsite restaurant is great as well, try the lamb!

One of the nicest places we stayed on our trip. They offered us if we wanted to put our room number down so they could notify us if the northern lights were out. We put our room number on the list and they knocked on our door to notify us to go outside. It was the only night we were able to see the northern lights on our 10-day trip. The patio was nice even though we didn't use it. Our room was on the side of the parking lot. Breakfast was wonderful! The best place that had more of a variety. Dinner was alright, but I'm a picky eater, my husband liked his dinner. It is on the expensive side.

The notification of northern lights was super. We signed up for notification at the desk, and got a knock on the door one night. Got up to see a great display of lights. Bathrooms a little different but workable. No WiFi in rooms is a minus. The restaurant was good but a little pricey. Overall a good stay.

Location is excellent, views amazing. Good room amenities and breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend staying here when traveling the ring road.

The room itself was very nice and quite big. We had 2 twin beds and a sofa / living space. The bathroom shower had some black stuff on the edges, but it was fine. Free breakfast is an asset.

Clean and comfortable hotel room with nice staff, comfortable lounge area and good breakfast.

Room was clean, but had limited amenities—only liquid soap that doubled as shampoo. Breakfast had a good variety of choices. Nothing else around the hotel so be prepared to eat dinner in their restaurant or eat before you arrive. Good place to see northern lights if conditions permit. Staff was friendly.

It was difficult to find this hotel on google maps. The signs are hard to see at night. As i checked in i told the reception that it was so difficult to find and we stopped at another location where the lady knew we were lost finding foss hotel. The reception told us well we are in the middle of nowhere. The power went out in the room 3x. You cant use the blow dryer and leave the tv on or the bathroom and min light. We were really frustrated.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only con was that internet was too slow. Other than the slow internet, everything was fine.

Very nice hotel. They offer to wake you up if there is northern lights Very friendly and helpful staffs Good breakfast. The breakfast room is big and nice place to have breakfast and enjoy the beautiful November sunrise Nice place to stay in South Iceland

This hotel is pretty big compared to the others in the area. It had big facilities and served a lot of people. Everything felt really new and clean and the rooms were great. Most importantly, they have a service where they knock on your door if the aurora happens! So we got a knock and the rooms each had a patio area. We just opened the door and stepped outside and saw the northern lights right in front of us! It was truly spectacular. The room and common areas are great and it feels like a luxury hotel in the middle of nowhere. The breakfast was also really good and was included in the price of the room. We highly, highly recommend this hotel. The only issue is that the internet is not very fast, but that's because the hotel is so remote.

The hotel is newly renovated. The room is very Spacious. I like the big glass window and the door easy access outside in case northern lights show up. the breakfast was also excellent making a good value for my money, it has sausage, egg, beans, bread, cold meats, diff coffee like cappuccino, mocha etc you pick, fruits, cereal, waffle you make your own, so many choices. If aurora forecast is good, the hotel location is perfect for viewing its in the middle of nowhere and it can get really dark there no other hotel closed by.

very basic room electricity & water goes out 3-4 times, low price to quality ratio

Very comfortable hotel located about 30 mins from Vatnajokull glacier and Skaftafell National Reserve. Excellent food though expensive like everything else in Iceland! Rented car highly recommended Very helpful staff to reserve glacier excursions

Can not recommend hotel enough. Staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was so comfortable and had everything you could need. All their shampoo and soaps were a very cool Icelandic brand, which was a luxurious touch.

Friendly, helpful staff especially Sandra and Gosia. Clean, comfortable room. Hotel is about a 40 minute drive from Vatnajökull National Park for glacier tours. Restaurant had delicious food and free breakfast included.

We had the feeling we were staying in mobile units in a construction project. The hotel appeared to be put together in individual, modestly built units.
