The property was very nice and close to everything we needed. It was quiet. The staff was helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast had a lot of choices.

Was told the first night that we would be able to park in the valet area during our stay at no charge. The gate was open and we went right in. The second day we left and when we came back, the valet gate was down. So we parked in a loading spot and ran in to ask the hotel what we should do. The person working at the front desk said we could park in a 15 min parking spot, no problem. So, we move the car and are attempting to leave when we are stopped by a valet worker. He watched this entire exchange go down and saw us move the car and THEN tells us that we've been misinformed and that we have to pay him to park our car or move it into the parking garage. This was just such poor customer service. He just kept asking who told us this information, almost implying that we were lying. I was beyond frustrated and moved the car into the parking garage as I didn't see fit to pay someone with such poor customer service etiquette. So, apparently, if the valet workers decide to not work, you can park there for free. Otherwise, it's $10. Ridiculous. The hotel rooms were ok but the walls were so thin. We heard the people all around us throughout the day AND night. There were not many staying in this hotel during our time here yet we were all seemingly placed in the same corner of the hotel. Bright and early in the am we heard the housekeeping staff banging around for hours. Was really disappointing as we had a long trip and were exhausted. Would not recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel connected to event arena. Made my weekend very pleasant.

I checked in and given my room keys. When to the room to find the beds not made and towels all over the bathroom. I am not sure if people’s belongings were in the room.. I immediately went to the desk and was given a different room. The bed was broken and stains on the carpet, dusk ruffle, closed pool, broken ice maker on my floor, and the tv quality poor as well. They did give me complimentary breakfast to comp me! Definitely a disappointing experience and won’t recommend them to anyone.

Nice staff, very accommodating! Rooms were clean and comfortable.

First off, the parking is either valet or garage... both cost at least $8 a night. Second, the room we were given had hair in the bed still! It seemed like no one had stayed there for weeks. The hotel also felt like it was a ghost town... there was no one checking in or out and it was a Saturday night around 8pm. I was weirded out by that. The hotel staff was nice upon arrival but refused to change our rooms once we complained about the bed. They claimed their computer wasn't working. The bed was lumpy, squeaky, and stained all over. The windows were filthy and you couldn't see clearly out of them. Also, the heat smelled like it hadn't been turned on in months. This is an old hotel built in the 80's and it feels like it. To top all of this off... the shower didn't work. We had to clean ourselves in the sink. NEVER stay here unless you like to overpay for an 80's style stay. I am sorry McCalmly Plaze hotel but this was probably one of the most disappointing stay of my life. I will never stay at a "non-name brand" hotel again.

Staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. They make you feel good being there. Very nice room and quiet.

Pillows are extremely cheap and soft. That's all I can say negative

Wish the room had a bathroom vent and a mirror in the bedroom area. Bed could have been more comfortable but it was a very clean room. Friendly staff. Was nice to walk to town of Batte Creek. Hotel drafted 50.00 on our account without letting us know for any potential damage. (Would have been nice to be informed first).

The bathroom needs s fan and my bed broke down when I was sleeping the wood underneath cracked and I had to sleep on the chair

Hotel needs to provide better facilities like Breakfasts, Microwave, Refrigerator.

We had a nice stay. The room was very nice, and the bed comfortable. Wish the ice machines were easier to find. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

The hotel has an excellent location right in the center of downtown Battle Creek. Only one restaurant in hotel and hours of operation are minimal with limited menu. No late night service. Just don't arrive hungry in the evening, or you can plan on driving somewhere else!

Hotel was clean...staff were friendly and accommodating

This is still a decent choice for overnight stay in Battle Creek.

nice hotel. Close to everything. The problem was that they give you ear plugs when you check in because there are too many RR tracks everywhere.

There was no microwave in the room. The shower head was so caked up that it barley sprayed and most of the water that did come out spilled onto the floor. Every time I called for room service it was closed. There were no vending machines other than soda machines. Our room wasn't cleaned after our first night.

Convenient location and friendly staff. Clean room. Nice restaurant.
