🧭 THE LOCATION - We are in a safe, quiet, upscale, and family-friendly neighborhood. There are other homes in the area, but it is very quiet, and you’ll even go to bed and wake up to the sounds of nature.
📍LOCATION & PROXIMITY: - 5 mins from downtown Kona (Coconut Grove Market on Ali’i Drive) - 5-10 mins from grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, - 15 minutes from Kona Airport - 20-30 minutes from Pine Trees/ Kohaniki Beach, Kua Bay, Hapuna Beach, Beach 69, and dozens of beaches along the north and south coast of Kona - 1 to 1.5 hours to Waimea, Pololu Valley, Waipio Lookout, and more - 2 hours to The Volcano National Park (take south road or saddle road)
🚙 PARKING - There is a reserved guest parking by the mailbox of the property. Please do not park in the driveway because it’ll block traffic from the property.
🌤 CLIMATE - At 600 feet elevation, the climate is typically cool and dry. We live on a tropical island with an ACTIVE volcano, so humidity is expected and weather patterns can be unpredictable. However, you'll feel comfortable with a ceiling fan, Vonardo fan, large windows, and a cool Kona afternoon breeze.
❄️ COOLING - The Ohana has a portable A/C, ceiling fan, and a powerful Vonardo fan. The temperature starts to cool off around 4:30-5 pm and can get as low as mid 60s in the winter and low 70s in the summer.
🌈 INTENTIONAL LIVING/ BIOHACKING - We do not have TV in the Ohana and the main home. Alternatively, we have books, card games, board games, and a beautiful sky for star gazing in the private yard. - To minimize EMF waves, we have installed Biogeometry and EMF protection by AiresTech around living spaces.

THINGS TO DO - There are many attractions on the Big Island, from the Volcano National Park to star gazing at Mauna Kea to rolling hills in Waimea to valley hikes in Pololu Valley, lying on the Green Sands Beach (there are only 4 in the world!). Fortunately, we are also centrally located to all of these attractions, and beaches (Kahalu’u, Kua Bay, Hapuna, Queen’s Bath, dozens more), restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and gorgeous sunsets!
SECURITY - To keep the entire property more secure, we have installed security cameras on the EXTERIOR ONLY of the Ohana.

Where do I begin! Rachael was an absolutely INCREDIBLE host. She is so kind and thoughtful. She truly goes above and beyond for her guests. Her property is exactly as listed. She includes so many details for travellers (binder with things to do/places to check out, fully stocked kitchen with spices and sauces, some cold drinks in the fridge for arrival, beach chairs and umbrellas, cooler, and more!). She was so easily reached if we had any questions and was so happy to give us even more personal recommendations! I would 100000% stay here again, without a doubt. Mahalo Rachael!!
