The front door opens up into the area between the living room and kitchen. The gas range and oven allow for those amazing home-away-from-home cooked meals. Beside this area are the two bedrooms with the bathroom between them. The primary bedroom has a portable AC unit and there is a window unit in the living room. Each bedroom has a queen bed and there is a twin air mattress and play pen.
Guests will have access to the entire space in the unit barring any locked closets or storage spaces reserved for the owners use. As well, Kona Kai has a pool, BBQ grill and laundry facilities. All of these are in limited quantity and available to all guests and residents of the facility, thus availability at all times is not guaranteed. This condo has one assigned parking stall which will be available during your stay. There is no other parking that will be available to you during your stay so please limit yourself to a single vehicle or make separate parking arrangements.
This condo is right in Downtown Kona, just a few blocks up the mountain from the King Kamehameha hotel and Alii Drive. Within walking distance are some amazing restaurant choices as well as some swimming options. The shops run along the ocean so you can enjoy the breeze between stores.
There are many local cab companies as well as all major ride share options. Car rentals are available from the airport as well as in town, just a few minutes away from this unit. Another popular option is Turo with many participating members on the island.

Great location
Everything was perfect. We got the necessary info from the owner late in the day we arrived, which was fine, but I would have had less anxiety if I had received the key code and a phone contact number earlier. The location is great for proximity to the main drag in Kona, nearby stores and restaurants and easy access to the highway and airport.

Wonderful in town condo
We have stayed in a 1 BR condo here, this was our first trip with friends to the island. Walking distance to so much is a big plus. Not as fully stocked a kitchen as the previous rental, but with 5 staying, we opted to go out more. Friendly neighborhood outdoor kitty made us feel quite at home. Comfy beds, adequate AC.

Close to traffic
Not used to loud traffic driving by all hours of the night. Couldn’t sleep. In morning you could hear dogs barking and curtains in bedroom weren’t blackout so sun shone through in early morning. Otherwise the condo was very nice and efficient would have been nice to have washer/dryer in unit. We were grateful for laundry area close by with the pool. We did enjoy our stay.

Great stay
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. Our family unit included myself, my husband, 17 yo stepson and a 4 month old infant. It was perfect for what we needed, walking distance to town and the water and a nice space for when our infant needed some home time.
If you are planning to have some beach time, this place is so well stocked for it. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, it was all available for use.
First Island Reality was also great to work with. We had some issues getting into the unit and they responded immediately and were very helpful.
I would recommend this place and would stay here again.
