BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustments.

The resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is conveniently located right on the beach and a short walk to restaurants and Whaler’s village. The only downfall is that it’s a bit dated and the bathroom definitely needs a renovation. It was very clean and the views from the balcony were beautiful.

Relaxing Getaway at the Perfect Resort

The Aston at Kaanapali was such a delightful surprise. It was spacious and clean, had a full kitchen with dishwasher, and a separate bedroom with a door. It was a short walk to the beach, just downstairs and past the pools. The little coffee shop was also a delightful surprise with such a smooth cup of coffee that I bought a bag to take with me for the rest of my trip. Our patio had a limited view of the ocean, but it was good enough to see the whales from. The only drawback was the loud trucks in the morning because our room faced the back alley; however, with the patio doors closed, it almost silenced it completely. No matter what, I would stay here again and again.
