Needs maintenance

Dishwasher not working full cycle, bathroom sink 85% plugged, WIFI access code does not match the instructions provided. Instructions are NOT current, the TV internet service freezes and there are NO instructions to surf the network. Beach chairs are rusty and has broken handles, they are tired. Additional wine glasses are needed, only 1 available. Patio sliding glass door needs to be lubricated, tracks are rusty and hard to open. Outside patio area requires a high pressure wash. We MUST be honest. We have rented the shell shack 5 times over the last 15years, please deal with these inconveniences, we really enjoy the shell shack.

New kitchen towelsGreat location, plenty of towels.Unfortunately bedrooms are. Right near street & construction workers etc are banging doors early.You have to empty the dehumidifier daily. Thermostat didn’t work. Bedding old & tired. Need New pillows all are shot*** New toilet brush it’s disgusting ** new hair dryer has no off or high only turns on & off on low by plugging in Need new Comforters New mattresses especially King was so soft could not sleep on it

Broken beds and dirty outdoor furniture big bummer

PROS: The location is perfect. Right on the ocean. The space is also ample for a small family to stay. Otherwise we had a lot of issues with this property… First of all, I should mention, I am super familiar with this area as I grew up 5 minutes down the road. I currently live driving distance away and come often to let my son visit with his cousins. I have used many other VRBO and private rentals for these trips and never have I had such trouble. I always ask for earlier check in to accommodate for my toddlers naptime, and do not book if that’s not okay with the property. I put this in my initial request which was ACCEPTED; but this listing is NOT a private owner but a secondary company, I do NOT recommend. Everything is automated including a message to “enjoy sunny south Florida” when it literally stormed all weekend lol mmkay. We had to make other accommodations for my toddlers nap time, which was very inconvenient. Then after the first 1/2 of the first night we realized that the beds are broken! (Or maybe so soft that they literally deform around you?!?) my husband and I are both normal sized people 150-190 lb each so this wasn’t the issue. My husband’s back hurt so badly the next day it was hard to move! Basically we didn’t sleep. Last annoyance: Despite the rain we wanted to try and sit outside with our son and just watch the storm…well the furniture was so nasty filthy it looked like it hadn’t been wiped down for several weeks at least..disappointing overall.

Unit was nice, it has everything you need. Only complaint was an annoying musty smell, mold appears to be an issue. It was constant,and made the stay uncomfortable. Fortunately we were outside a lot!

Just steps to the beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! No problems with the keypad, plenty of laundry and dishwasher pods and a big box of trash bags - The owners have paid attention to guest reviews. The beach access includes a shower and gazebo, and it is a quiet, family oriented beach. Appreciated the beach towels, chairs and umbrella and the patio tables. Hope to return for another visit!

Perfect spot!

Amazing 5 night stay! Perfect spot for hitting the beach anytime of the day! Enjoyed our visit very much and will visit again. Simple, clean and great location. No issues and grocery store near by for anything you need during your stay. Beach is literally 100 yards from your door!

Location, location,location

This is our fourth time staying there. We love the location but unit is getting a little tired and with the new management company a lack of basic amenities. Second year in a row washer or dryer didn’t work, multiple outlets not working, screen door does not work, keypad lock had issues (took us 30 minutes to get in on arrival and numbers stuck throughout our stay) , had to buy the basics for an 8 day stay because not enough provided or not provided at all: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, wrap for food, salt and pepper, soap. All things that can be rectified and we hope they do.

Location is great, steps off the beach. The home is set up for beach comfort. We had some minor issues which the management company handled quickly. I would definitely stay again.

Good location!

This was a nice place to stay. The location was great. The only negative was that the washing machine was broken but the property manager gave me her phone number to call if we needed more towels. I would definitely stay here again.

No laundry & cleaning supplies

We have stayed here sever several times and love the location. Unfortunately we had several minor issues this time and found it hard to communicate and resolve quickly. It would be helpful to know if there is not laundry access or cleaning supplies prior to booking. In light of coronavirus the timing was not great to not have access to these things. We also were unable to get into the house which the manager was responsive too but it took A few hours away from our arrival day. We hope these things are fixed for the future because it is usual a great experience.

This is a cute little cottage well decorated and comfortable.

This is a great location because you can walk to places to eat and shop within a mile of the cottage, and you're really close to the beach in a very nice neighborhood. The property was really clean and the manager was easy to reach and very helpful in a timely manner. It also has lots of closets and great outdoor seating.
