Julatten Platypus Mountain Home

An amazing home with beautiful views, you will experience total tranquillity. The large home is nestled in front of the rainforest - it is a national park, and nobody will come and disturb your serenity. It is off the grid but solar supplies all the comfort. Starlink's (Elon Musk) fast and unlimited Wifi let's you connect to the world if you need it! No air-conditioning is needed as a fresh breeze comes through at any time. It is made to be comfortable without aircon. In fact, you will be happy to use the in-house fireplace during some nights of the colder months (June-August). Check out the Platypus in the spring-fed deep water lagoon early in the morning or just sit on the veranda and watch pademelons, bandicoots, kookaburras and other wildlife. The buff-breasted Kingfisher chooses Julatten as his breeding ground and you can see them from Mid-October to early March. We have a great Funky Monkey Bars Playground and XXL Vuly Trampoline to keep the kids entertained around the house. Have a dip, a swim or paddle on the lagoon, with it's beautiful healthy natural water (n crocodiles on the mountains!). A small wharf with a ladder makes entry & exit easy. In the evening, enjoy a wine sitting next to the fire bowl in front of the house, or have a BBQ on the veranda. The house is fantastic for just a couple's getaway or for large families or friend groups. 25 minutes to Port Douglas with shopping, entertainment and the beautiful 4-mile Beach for a walk or run along the beach or a swim, it is a lovely flat beach for kids and adults. 20min to Mossman and Mossman Gorge.

The vacation home features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 6 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. The bathroom offers a jetted tub and hair dryers. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.
