The Bungalows by Homestead Modern at The Joshua Tree Retreat Center

"Our bungalow was a suite. It was our first time at this facility. Check in was different, in that there was no "front desk", and instructions for locating and accessing our room were not sent until just before check in time. We were well on the way to the facility (six hour drive) before we even knew which bungalow was ours, or what the access code for the digital lock on the door was. This was somewhat uncomfortable for us. We try to plan in detail and be prepared ahead. However, instructions were provided before we actually needed them, the provided general map of the facility was adequate to find our bungalow, the access code worked, and the bungalow was wonderful. The main room was bright with large windows through which to see the outside terrain, the kitchen well equipped, the bathroom nice (although shower water flow was a bit slow), the bedroom wonderful. We did not have much time to explore the grounds, but the bungalow was very enjoyable. There were three separate patio areas with chairs and a table that allowed us to find sun or shade at any hour. Furnishings were "modern", unique, comfortable. Check out was simply locking the door on the way out. It is a different experience staying here, but we enjoyed our stay very much. We would recommend The Bungalows."
