We arrived in the middle of the night due to what became known as their 100 Year Flood. The night manager was awesome at getting us settled in. First night, we found a parking spot close to the entrance. The Handicap spot was taken by a construction truck and trailer. From the next morning on of our 4 day stay all we heard was construction banging and a lot of moaning..non-construction. One night we had a slumber party with our 4y/o nephew who asked if we needed to check if they were okay.! Two of the nights we were able to procure the HC spot. However, since that is where the construction was being dumped, we ended up with a nail in our tire. Night 3, we were attacked by ants. All food was in the fridge. We were guessing they were attempting to escape the flooding rain. Again, night mgr came to our rescue and moved us across the hall. Neither of these rooms was in the newly upgraded area and that meant 99% of the time we were unable to get our door keys to scan. We went through about 3 sets of keys. This hotel looked a little tired. Carpet stains, chips on walls, smell. It wasn't the worst we have encountered. However, for $129 a night, it sure did not live up to its partner hotel chain name. Again, the night manager was well spoken and full of southern hospitality. He was the gem hidden in the rough hotel!

The room was clean, most everything was functional, bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Great location for traveling. I'm not a fan of their current remodeling style. They are using sliding doors for the bathroom, so no lock and a feel of less privacy. In our room the bathroom faced the bed side by less than 2 feet. 1 step and you were literally inside the bathroom. We were advised that the door lock was tricky and to insert and withdraw card slowly. It took us between 3 - 10 tries each time (frustrating at moments). The cost was $147 for a basic room (with taxes). This is a lot for a Hampton Inn in my opinion. SpringHill Suites by Marriott cost us $95 (with taxes) the next night (it was a nicer hotel and also included breakfast).

Excellent, clean room. We require a disability-accessible room, and this one had everything we needed. We would have preferred a king-sized bed, but they only have queens. LOTS of noise from heavy doors slamming all day and all night. Lovely, accurate temperature control. Best breakfast we've enjoyed at any of the hotels that provide it. Key cards did not work most of the time, which was a real annoyance!

Very poor for a Hilton owned hotel. General manager will not return calls. Called twice with not a word from the manager. Not enough parking even with the first floor closed for maintenance. No cameras in parking lot.

So first they are trying to improve has they are rebuilding all the room. We got a new room! Yeah ! Craftsmanship was lazy at best. The odors was paint and glue all over the hotel. Please ventilate!!!!! The customer service is basic no more no less. It's a difficult situation for them but don't charge me full price when I got no elevator and really smelling accommodation.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and never had such a poor experience. The first room there was no thermostat and the next room had ants. Maybe the ants was related to the renovation that was going on.

Needed to cancel reservation due to situation out of our control, and/or reserve it for another time. Since we were out of time, customer service refused to do anything for us. We will never ever use this service again.

We came to Joplin to do a little shopping, the town we live in flooded and they evacuated the town so we stayed at the Hampton and I told the lady at the front desk about our situation and she went over and beyond to help me and my family. She was very accomidating. Loved the new remodel, beautiful rooms.

Had been traveling all day in the rain, Trisha made the day so much better with her happy and friendly attitude, room was clean and comfy! Although it was going through remodel, it was quiet, got much needed rest!

We were fortunate to arrive just after they had remodelled the 3rd floor rooms. The second floor is currently being updated and part of the foyer is a bit of a building site but heard no construction noise so was no trouble. Very pleasant stay. Good staff. Find a restaurant other than the Outback across the carpark (not part of the hotel) because the experience was horrible.
