Was great for a one night stay with the price. It takes a while for the water to get hot, but then it's hot. Clean spacious rooms, beds are firm. They only give 3 pillows per bed - so when there's four people staying ....... fridge, microwave and mini coffee maker in room. Has a "window unit" type air conditioner, but works ok. If we come back up this way I would probably stay there again
We stayed at America's Best Value Inn, Jonesville NC in 10/2013 for an overnight rest stop. We look for a budget priced place when traveling, that is non-smoking, inviting and pet friendly. Because we are budget minded, we don’t expect the Taj Mahal, but we do expect a clean, bug free room in a safe location. This hotel met those qualifications. COMMENTS: ROOM: Included: King bed, dresser, TV, remote, couch/chair, table, microwave, small refrigerator. Furniture was a mix of new and well used items such as the older TV, which worked very well. Carpeting looks fairly new, but edges were dusty (like home). Especially liked the special touch of the welcome prayer titled "The Stranger Within our Gates" displayed in the room. BUGS: There was no evidence of bugs (I looked!). ELECTRICAL OUTLET: You had to look for an outlet that was available to use to charge the electronics. (The first one we tried, turned off with the wall light switch) ODORS: Smelled clean. AREA: Noise level was normal, and I felt comfortable in the area. RATING SCALE: Let me point out my "rating scale". An average rating means clean, but there was dust along the floor boards. I give an "excellent" ONLY to places that have absolutely no dust buildup anywhere (including corners). I use the following scale when rating: 1 star: Yuck… would not return 2 star: Slightly better, but still would not return 3 star: Budget priced, with issues that may or may not have been resolved OR higher priced location with unresolved issues. 4 star: Either a budget priced location with no issues OR a higher priced location with issues that were resolved 5 star: Either a budget priced location with no issues and the room and surrounding area was absolutely clean, newer, well appointed with a hot breakfast provided OR a higher priced location with expected greatness due to being a higher priced location and EVERYTHING was worth paying the extra price. Bottom line, 3 stars or better indicate I was satisfied and would stay there again.
Outstanding place to stay when visiting wineries. The young lady running both the front desk and breakfast area was great. She was extremely friendly and shared suggestions about the region. Great breakfast offerings. Rooms were big and very clean. Entrance is right off of I-77.
Check-in was fast and courteous. The room was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable and the room did not have any curious odours. Located easily off the Interstate. I travelled solo (female) and felt safe here. I would definetely stay here again.
I stayed there twice. Once on my way up to Pennsylvania to Florida and then back to Florida. Staff was extremely friendly. Grounds and room were very clean. Bed was very comfortable. It's not the Ritz, but for the price it was very good! Thank you to the staff for making my stay comfortable and providing a clean room/bathroom for my stay!
Run down. Clean enough---needs a thorough cleaning. Beds were comfortable and shower was hot with plenty of water. No frills room for a no frills price. Perfect for a one stop night. No clocks in room. But had frig and micro.... Odd. Registration was quick--VERY nice clerk!
Paid for 3 nights only stayed for 2. Clerk told us they would refund us the 1 night no problem at all. Long story short after contacting hotel 3X asking about refund we were told call travel agency which we did. Clerk told agency we smoked in non smoking room-neither 1 of us smoke and also that there was a stain on the carpet-only thing on carpet was water because of pouring down rain. Never going there again
Traveling in August 2015 with 2 grandchildren. Check in technology out of date but worked well enough. Friendly staff member at check in was the only person we saw! Room was very clean with no offensive odors. No bathtub in the bathroom but a walk-in shower takes up all the space the tub used to. Our shower curtain did not quite seal the water inside so it tended to be on the rest of the floor of the bathroom. We did notice the shower / toilet noise did not penetrate into the bedroom. It was a little hard to find, tucked behind a BP station and a restaurant. Faces the freeway, but we had no noise that disturbed us during the night. Room air conditioner was older wall-mounted unit. It was mounted to the wall at the rear of the room. From there it was not quite powerful enough to cool the entire room very well. Moreover, because it was very near the sink, if you were wet or trying to do something at the sink, you had the blast and roar of the a/c right at you.
When you have been traveling all day and need a place to sleep, this is the stop to make. It's a no frills room that is clean and comfortable. It's right off the highway and a perfect stop for us when going from Florida to Pennsylvania. We never heard any highway noise on the ground floor. We have paid way more money for the same accommodations in resort areas. This is indeed a good value for the price. It is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, so don't go in expecting one and you won't be disappointed. Having a refrigerator in the room is always a plus. Definitely recommend this place!
On way back from Florida and happened upon this place after a very long and exhausting day.......Great overnight stay! Reasonably priced, check in friendly, comfortable bed, clean room and lots of hot water! Will surely stay again......
