The front desk staff was excellent. After my online booking did not show up on the PC, they assured me they would sort it out and even allowed me to go to my room while they were addressing the issues. I always enjoy staying at Southgate Road Lodge. However, I was not pleased at all with the Malta pudding I ordered. It was rubbering and I only ate the custard, which was excellent. The Road Lodge had no record of my booking and after 20 minutes reloaded my booking. I am not sure who's fault this is? The room was fine and the staff very polite. There was a shortage of staff in the kitchen which resulted in waiting time of 90 minutes for a meal.
