Back after a year from my last visit, one could see some improvements around the hotel, though the restoration isn't yet finished. Most of the points in my previous evaluation are still valid, though. There was a flop with their online booking system, so I got to get the suite for the price as a standard room! Even if not, get it anyway! Standard rooms are like I had described previously, simply horrible! The suítes have the advantage of being by the router, so internet is excelente, although it always drops for a few minutes between 8-9 o'clock and 18-19 o'clock. No need to log in or register anymore, they took the complaints seriously and changed providers! But there are infiltrations on the brand-new walls still, my throat itched funny during the whole stay, the glass door is the noisiest thing, and the marble tables are a hazard to anyone, especially children! Location is excelente, breakfast is surprisingly good, parking is free, price is fair and low, there are many restaurants nearby, taxi fare to the airport is 80 reais fixed, staff is super friendly and helpful - all in all, it's simple and okay for a few days, I recommend it still!
I left for work morning 04.02.2016 and I returned around 1900 hrs same day..I took a shower cleaned my face and wanted to apply my protective cream for my troubeled face skin..bought new 2 days back in Fortaleza..wherever I searched I did not find the same cream I used same day morning..The cost of this cream do not bather me, whats bather me and make me furious is that employee of this hotel just grab and steel from their guests..I live + 200 days at hotels per year..Best Western is not on my list anymore..
I foudn thsi hotel to be barely OK. The rooms are very simple, clean, but simple, no design touches, loud and old AC. The bathrooom also needs a facelift. The rooftop has an amazing view, and the pool is nice, too bad they don't have lounge chairs or recliners for sunbathing, just regular white plastic garden chairs. Breakfast was fine, I loved the tapioca made to order.
My agent booked the place after the "selected" ones for my meeting were all booked up. So mentally, I was going to settle for less. I also did not have enough time to look up the reviews. What a pleasant surprise! At about 200 meters from the Tropical Tambau and the beach! I loved my room on the 5th floor and had a great view of the sea every morning .. with the sun rising over it. Great sleep quality too. The room service is great. I could not finish a 10$ worth of cheese platter!
I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Joao Pessoa, Brazil. Everything you need is within walking distance (e.g., convenience stores, banks, bars and restaurants, two artisan markets, and last but not least, the beach). The staff members are also very friendly and helpful, and they made my stay that much more enjoyable.
This hotel was very clean, the room was very comfortable, the staff very helpful. The location is very close to the beach and just about anything a tourist would want to do when in Joao Pessoa. Some of the best restaurants in town are within a few blocks
The hotel rooms are slightly aged, perhaps the biggest sign of this is the room air conditioning. Our leaked. However everything else is very good to excellent The location first, Close to Tropical Tambau hotel so thats near the square with the fast food outlets and supermarket (small) . This also means its a stone throw away from Tambau beach and Cabo Branco beach. There is a block of shops for gifts one block away from the hotel, The direction straight ahead from the front entrance. For anyone with young children that area is where you will find nearest Mcdonalds. The hotel is also close to the beach bars with live music and selection of drinks and local array of foods. The hotel has a roof top pool with sun lounge area, the views from there are quite spectacular. The rooms are fair sized with flat screen TV The beds comfortable and every too has air con. We had issue with ours on this trip. Breakfast is served on the ground floor, lots of variety from toasted sandwiches, fruit ,cereals, yogurts , hot foods like sausages, you can request a omelette of your choice of filling. Something for everyone. Wifi works throughout so yes in your room you will get wifi, it wlll log you out if not used for some time but simple to get back on. The best bits are the extras Firstly the safe, you can ask for a safe key and use the safe free for your stay, there will be a charge if you lose the key. So safety deposit box is free. Both times i stayed here, i had evening flights back, So both times i asked if i can use the room till later and both times they let us keep room on a few hours without charge. Its things like this that make a difference and why i returned to this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. If your looking for 5 star luxury this is not hotel for you, if you looking for a pleasant hotel, with good facilities and helpful staff who are friendly then this is a very good place to stay. I have stayed in Luxury hotels close to this one, some had very poor wifi, some unhelpful staff, most charged for keeping a room on for late departure.
When got to the room there was already occupied. Second room again also occupied. Bad logistic at Reception Main lobby had old furniture and not appealing at all Room in need of severe renovation as well as hotel Breakfast is included but very forgettable
Very near to the beach, and near from the craftwork shops and market. Nice staff, always very kind. Wonderful breakfast. Rooms are clean and simple. There is NO WIFI in the rooms, nor at the pool, only at the reception (though they say there is...). But I liked this hotel.
The AC is loud, loud ... very loud. The location is nice, there are many things to do near. There is a great night club near. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable. But the Internet is horrible. And the AC, god, the AC....
