Absolutely Beautiful private pool villas. The villas are very spacious and decorated tastefully. The staff are very friendly and will do anything to help and make your stay comfortable. we loved our stay here

So this was our fourth stay at the Astari and it won't be our last. We go every year and the thing that keeps bringing us back is the beautiful staff. Ms Ayu and her amazing team are so friendly, kind and go out of their way to make sure that you have a great stay at the Astari. There are a couple of things that are unchangeable - the location. Yes it is out of the way but to us that is the charm - being away from the hustle. A taxi will cost you $A3 to go up the hill. The resort has a shuttle that can drop you down to Jimbaran a couple of times a day. Yes there is mould in the bathrooms, but it is a humid and tropical climate - so these things do happen. Housekeeping do a great job of making sure the rooms are serviced early in the day, so when you come back from being out your room is spotless. Breakfast is basic but tasty. Eggs/bacon/sausage are all cooked to order, there is alway a couple of Indonesian dishes plus pastries, fruit and salad. Now the good stuff - the Astari rooftop spa is gorgeous. It overlooks the trees and there is nothing better than having a massage with a cool breeze blowing. Tina and her team in the spa do the most amazing massage, we went everyday. $A15 for an hour is well worth it, once again there is cheaper in Jimbaran but you will only save a couple of dollars to have the convenience of having a quality massage at a time that you want - without having to leave the resort. By the time you pay the cab fare - it works out the same. There is a new jacuzzi in the spa as well, and the girls have some great packages for couples. We had two rooms (with teenagers) that opened up onto the pool area, both rooms were spacious and had everything you needed. As I have said previously about The Astari,if you want a 5 star resort with all the bells and whistles and western standards - stay somewhere else. However if you are looking for a true balinese experience, with balinese hospitality and warmth - stay at The Astari - you will not be disappointed. As for us - we will definitely be back next year!!! Thank you Ms Ayu for another wonderful stay.

I chose to stay here because of its proximity to the airport and uluwatu before I headed up to Ubud. This charming little hotel was just what I needed after arriving on a midnight flight. They helped arrange an airport transfer and had someone to check me in at 130am. Big room with a little balcony overlooking the pool/courtyard. Room was pretty big with little fridge and complimentary water. Bathroom had both tub and shower. I wish shower was a tad bigger but I'm just being nitpicky. Room was large. Mattress on the firm side. Goid breakfast in the morning in little dining area by the pool with eggs to order. Definitely a great place to recharge. Cant say much about the location as it really was only a pit stop for me but the hotel was great!

Enjoyed my stay in Bali because of my stay in Astari. Very private and luxurious. Food was really great. Must try - Nasi Goreng and Bebek goreng. Service staff were very friendly and courteous. Looking forward to my next visit to Bali and Astari. Cheers! thank you!!

It was a nice place with clean rooms. But in the middle of nothing. We were happy that we stayed only 2 nights there. We get sick after eating there unfortunetlly. Stuff was really nice. You need to take taxi to get to the city.

I love this place. I came from the states and loved the people, food, and location !!! The power went out in my suit one night and they put me in another room. I went back the next day. There was a bit of mold and mildew in the shower, but it’s warm there so be realistic about expectations.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my friends, we were very satisfied to stay here. Nice pool, great location, has balcony, big room and good breakfast too. The staff were amazing, so helpful, kind and very friendly. Thank you 🙏 We will visit again!!

We spend 8 nights at the Astari Residence in one of their suite rooms. The complex is well located if you are wanting to explore the Bukit Peninsula and not be in the built up rush area of Kuta etc. Lots of great restaurants and Beach Clubs to choose from in the general vacinity. The staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful - although not always served hot enough and a bit more variety would be appreciated (if you are only wanting a western style breakfast). The spa on the roof was fantastic - Yasmeen and Tina give the best massages! It is worth paying a little extra to be on the roof top, with the lovely breeze on the very clean and comfy massage beds. The cons of the stay were that the mattress was hard and a quite uncomfortable. The bathroom, although big enough, could have been cleaner - a good bleaching would remove the stubborn stains and the shower head needed repairing. The amenities, though, were good. The wifi was good, but you had to log in constantly. Something that we did find distressing was the number of dogs in the area - most of them in bad shape, injured and starving. There was the constant noise of dogs barking, howling and crying - which we found to be very off putting and sad. The entire region should look at doing something about the dog situation (as humanly as possible). Overall - we would choose to stay at Astari again and enjoyed the experience. It really was excellent value for the price per night.

Room is spacious but lighting is very dull.In the evening once sunlight is gone room becomes very gloomy.lights are very poor.breakfast is buffet which is service is average.swimming pool is well maintained

We stayed here 2 nights before our flight home. We had a great experience, they have free breakfast which was great. They also had the restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The rooms were new and very clean. The pool was great. Mostly the customer service was outstanding. My husband got sick the day before we were suppose to leave. I called the Front Desk at 2am and they personally escorted us to the closest medical centre and waited for us to see the doctor then drove us back, we offered to pay them but they refused payment. Over and beyond customer service. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
