Enjoy this outstanding mountain retreat on a private, wooded acre in an exclusive lake community in Jim Thorpe, PA.

3 bedrooms, including a first-floor master suite with a king bed, 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bedroom with twin beds, and loft bedroom with a trundle bed. 2 1/2 baths total.

This home is perfect for couples, families, or friend groups up to 8 guests.

Mountain life comes alive at the Mountain Laurel Chalet, with wide-plank floors, wood finishes, and charming rustic decor. Enjoy the crackling of the stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and lots of big, beautiful windows for a sun-soaked escape.

The home features a first-floor King Primary Suite with TV and walk-in shower, a queen bedroom with TV, a bedroom with two twin beds, and an open loft with a trundle bed that sleeps 2, served by a full bath. There is also a half-bath on the main floor.

Mountain Laurel Chalet is just a short walk (about 1 mile) to a private beach, spring-fed lake, and playground, and just 12 miles to historic Jim Thorpe. Nearby is whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, ATV'ing, shopping, dining, and restaurants of all flavors. Fun winter activities are just 10 miles away at Big Boulder and Jack Frost. You're surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Poconos.

Enjoy outdoor barbecuing, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

There are many wonderful pubs and restaurants, shows and events, and the world-famous Historic Jim Thorpe. The event and concert venue, Penn's Peak, features live music, bands and entertainers that go back decades, and outdoor patio music and dining.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Before exiting please hang all used bath towels on the hooks in the bathrooms. Strip linens from all used beds. Bag all trash and place the bags near the bins in the kitchen.
Upon exiting turn thermostat down to 65 degrees in the winter. Turn thermostat on fireplace down to 58 degrees. During summer months turn the thermostat up to 78 degrees.
Lock all doors upon exiting and place the key back into the lock box.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

What great home. Perfect getaway for a celebration. The house was spotless and beautifully appointed. Since we were there over New Year’s we did a lot of cooking. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The appliances were all new. We contacted our host several times prior to our arrival. She was extremely responsive. I highly recommend this property and would rent it again without question.
