Hotel not too far from city centre. Rooms small but reasonably well appointed. Breakfasts are basic at best. In normal circumstances this would be an ok hotel but this place was spoiled by the unhelpfulness of the reception team. They were very unhelpful as unfriendly throughout . Be aware also that this is a very orthodox hotel so don’t expect any services whatsoever during Sabbath. This is taken to extremes, I was trying to check out a room booking for an 83 year old disabled lady and they refused any help whatsoever. Really ?

The Prima Palace appears to be a well located (just off the Jaffa Road) upscale establishment that caters mostly to the very Orthodox. Breakfasts were extensive and yummy, room was very well appointed and comfortable, staff was quite helpful. TV and WiFi worked well. Safe in the room.

I beleive they need to tear down the building and completley replace it along with a parking lot that can actually accomodate more than 5 cars. They do advertise free parking! Customer service is the regular israel attitude of " Not my problem" and " Cant help you" I was lied to outright by the front desk person and it cost me a 100 shekel ticket... Would not recommend...

Easy check in. 2 steps up to the elevator could be a problem with heavy luggage. We usually took the stairs adjacent to the elevator. Room a/c didn't seem to work at all, but with cool nights and the windows slightly open, room was very comfortable. We forgot to tell the desk about it. We were out during the day. Room and its amenities were as depicted at the website. Fridge, safe and wifi were great. Didn't use any hotel amenities or restaurant, except for luggage room after check out. Ahmed Alawi at the reception desk was kind and helpful and with a smile during our 4 night stay. Super convenient location, i.e. less than 5 minute walk to Ha Davika tram stop and less than 10 minute walk to Mahane Yehuda market. Fridge is great to store cheese, herring, etc. you might buy there. Maybe 35-40 minute walk to Jaffa Gate in the Old City. Nearby bakeries and restaurants for a quick bite. Took the tram or light rail to the Central Bus Station, 3 stops away, and then a 1-2 minute walk to the 485 bus stop near Moriah Street to ride to the airport with limited stops for 16 shekels or about $5.00.

Ideally located at walking distance from the Old city and just off the Mahane Yehuda. A nice building and a small but confortable room. We had problems with room service though - the first morning someone tried to enter our room while we were sleeping; the second day when we came back to the hotel at 4 p.m. the room had not been cleaned yet. And not a smile from the reception. Is it because we are not orthodox jews or is just the style of the house?

I have written hundreds of reviews and take providing feedback very seriously. I hope you find my review helpful. I would never stay here again. Let's start with that. This hotel lacks all 4 star qualities. Most of all, they lack the level of service one would expect from a 4 star property. 4 star is not a reality. This hotel is a 2 star hotel posing as a 4 star property. If you are considering booking this hotel, please note, third party websites do NOT tell you about late check-in on Shabbat. We arrived at 4:00 pm on a Saturday and were told that due to Shabbat, our room was not ready and to come back at 8:30 p.m. When I tried to tell the man that we had no knowledge of this, he insisted that we check our reservation. We did. Our reservation, made through another website does NOT mention such late check-ins for Saturdays. No apology was given, even after I contacted the management and provided a copy of my reservation. Nope. No "I'm sorry"... only "you should have known." That is nonsense. How about just an apology for making us wait until 8:30 p.m. at night to check in? Nope. Not 4 star service. Internet: Slow. Our room had 2 single beds pushed together. Not ideal. Beds were hard. Shower was great with excellent water pressure and wonderful shower head. The tub was deep, which was nice. Asking for ice was about 30-45 minute wait. No room service that we were aware of...? TV was very poor quality. It was like watching TV from the 1970s with grainy reception. And no detail about channel listings. They do NOT have wine openers. If you buy a bottle of wine, you are on your own to open it. They do not have anyone to help you with directions, reservations, etc. No 4 star services that one would expect. Cleanliness was below target with mold in the bathroom. Location was excellent. Just 15-20 minute walk downhill to old city. In the opposite direction is a part of town with open-air shops selling food. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Overall, great location with a great shower. Everything else was 2 star or less in quality.

We didn't stay in this hotel overnight, however we did come for a meal on Shabbos. The staff was nice and accommodating , the dining area was very nice . The food was delicious . Had a wonderful meal!

Had a nice experience in this cosy hotel. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Good , friendly service, rooms on the small side and would have liked it slightly more cleaner and more towels but I am sure if I would have had the time to mention it I would have received it. The location was perfect for us to participate in a nearby family wedding.

The room was clean and well furnished although a bit small but was OK, the location is brilliant near synagogues and shops, within waking distance to orthodox Jewish neighbourhood and historical sites

The hotel rooms are very clean but quite small. The staff was very helpful and nice. When we asked to switched to 2 rooms closer to each other, the front desk immediately did it for us. It's situated in a very religious district. The morning of our departure was Shabbat, but the cafeteria staff provided breakfast especially for our family.
