This trip was in 2010, was a nice trip, with nice graded accomodation and facilities. The location was excellent just for the view of the Al-Aqsa compound. A 10 minute walk to the Al-Aqsa Musjid compound if you would do so, and you would need to walk past the cemetary then.
We booked for our last night in Israel. We have been received by a young very professional, friendly and helpful receptionist speaking a perfect English. We got a room with very comfortable new beds, a reformed bathroom and a breathtaking view on the old city!! Room very clean, white sheets and two pillows per bed. You will experience a stay in a life full neigborough at a walking distance of all the touristic places of the Mount of Olives and next to the ascension church and a beautiful small old mosque. Breakfast with a large plate of olives, cheese, labneh, tomatoes and pickles with toasted bread and codée or tea. We really enjoyed our experience.
Everything from check-in to meals I rate very High. Hospitality and Service excellent. Great view of so much, just a short walk and you see much. Many places to eat and buy great fresh fruit. Very clean rooms. This is Jerusalem!
This hotel is on top of the eponymous mount. To get to the Lion gate is a 30 minute walk downhill or 30 seconds on a skateboard. It is very steep. It is an Arab hotel with few western tourists but this does not detract from it's value. It was (for Israel) cheap at $50 per night and had a couple of nearby basic eateries. The essential thing to know about it is that it is on a corner which suffers from traffic jams. Vehicle horns tend to peter out between 23.00 and begin again at 07.00. Other wise they are more or less constant. The staff are helpful and will book tours for you which could be useful considering the other option of being fleeced by the professionals in the agencies. Jewish taxi drivers 'prefer' not to come to this area so be choosy in getting a cab in town.
A nice friendly hotel, great staff, and tidy well cleaned rooms , this is located right in the heart of the MT of Olives..amazing views to Jerusalem....and easy walk to Gethsemane Garden and many amazing churches and places of worship....you will love it here...ask for the room looking towards The Church of the Ascension
Stuff was very kind and helpful. Internet connection was very good. Breafast was ok and there was enought food. Located at steep hill with nice view of Jerusalem, so it is good idea to take a bus or taxi when taveling with luggage.
First - very good value for money!!! Quick and efficient service, safe-box in our room, tasty breakfast, clean, fantastic place with a beautiful view on old Jerusalem - what else should we add to feel good holiday?
We have never been to this part of the work. Like they say all roads lead to Jerusalem. This place is a very popular and nice hotel. We recommend this place to everyone. You will always feel safe here. Staff is excellent and multiple languages are spoken here, so you can be very well informed of what is happening.
If you are searching for the affordable accommodation, in the clean and neat hotel with the very good food, with helpful and polite service, close the old town (only 15 minutes on foot) it is a perfect hotel for you!
This hotel was unclean and the rooms were dusty. The fans they gave us did not work and the breakfast tasted stale and un fresh as if it had been sitting in the sun for days. The staff was not helpful nor did they seem preoccupied about the decaying state of their hotel. However, the hotel offered a gorgeous view of the old city but, being on the mount of olives, it meant that access to and from the hotel was a hassle. I would not recommend this hotel, stay away from it if you can.
