When we booked this room we wasnt sure what to expect because there was not many reviews. Even your looking for a hotel with a grand entrance and a lobby with tons of chairs to sit in this is not the right place. However if your looking for a quick check in its perfect! The hotel is roundish from the outside and our room was a very very funny shape but what makes me give this room full marks was the hot tub! Not often you get a hot tub in your room with enough space for 3-4 people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The room had everything we could have wanted with a cute shabby chic style, and the bathroom was fully modern! They even supplied a sheitel head, toiletries and towels. Everything was clean and perfect! Lots of people mentioned they found it to religious, i didnt see any religious guests on my stay. Please note there is only stairs leading to the entrance so not good acess for buggys or every guest with a suitcase!
I spent two nights at this hotel and I really appreciated that for many reasons: the staff is super nice and open to give information, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the breakfast is just amazing, so rich and good and full of typical dishes of the local tradition. The hotel is in a great position close to Jaffa gate. I recommend it for sure
breakfast is not very glamorous the rooms are not homey very small rooms restaurant was closed for a private event lobby looks like a furniture store there is not 24hr reception @the desk... as they claim
After arriving at another hotel late afternoon to find it quite possibly the worst place I’ve ever seen, sticky floors dirty walls (hotel habria) I walk out with no where to stay that night, so checking trip adviser I found the litov, which by comparison was like a palace, checking in was easy and my room what’s great, very clean and everything just as it should be, the location is also spot on , very close to Jaffa street which I could to be a buzz of activity both during the day and evening, should I find myself in Jerusalem in the future I would use this place for sure
We just discovered this hotel and we were hesitant at first because of the fact that there were only 7 reviews online. Let me tell you, this was the BEST decision booking at the Litov. We only regret that we didn't book our entire trip at the Litov. The hotel suites are stunning and spacious. We were 2 parents and 5 kids and the suite had more than enough room, with a huge living/dining/kitchen area too. White, modern, and spacious with a full kitchen that we didn't use (so many great eateries in walking distance!) The heated floors in bathroom were great. Tons of windows, loved the sunlight. Location is perfect - we walked to Ben yehuda all the time - its approx 1 block from Ben yehuda, and its right near Geula too, so we were able to walk there too. Also, the bus comes right there. Parking was difficult, so we ended up returning our rental once we saw how central this hotel is. The attached dairy restaurant was great, we ate dinner there one night. Front desk was super helpful with whatever we needed. Manager Danny was more than happy to accommodate us when we asked if we can extend our trip a little longer at the same rate. Yes its a religious hotel which should make no difference to any guests, as they were very welcoming. We personally are religious so we felt right at home, and no different than the other hotels nearby that we stayed at - there are religious people everywhere in every hotel. We didn't notice any tour groups at this hotel, possibly because it's more higher end. The other hotels we stayed at had more than one tour group (picture two groups of 40+ people showing up for breakfast! this wasn't at Litov though) . Anyways, we loved our stay and would highly recommend the Litov Hotel!!
Very comfortable hotel. Great location of hotel if you want you could walk to old city. Great and friendly staff. Breakfast was kosher and very delicious. Only one minus was that we heard noise during night.
This is worse hotel I visited so far, checked into the hotel on Monday, first thing was asked by the reception was: can you hide your necklace with a cross this is a religious hotel, my wife was offended by unreasonable request but agreed to hide , this is Jewish religious hotel where other religious beliefs not respected. We occupied 3 bed suite and paid $400 per night where no hot water for 3 nights, hot water only worked during the day via solar panels but not at night. Hotel used hotel staff to check the electrical problem with the boiler, the man was talking to a electrician on the phone sending pictures etc... to ask how to fix the problem. Hotel manager given us a separate shower room to use in the hotel to use in the morning but the privacy and comfort was disturbed. Hotel bed covers not changed for 4 nights and floors are not cleaned, cleanliness of the rooms was awful but decide not to complain as the management was very ignorant, WiFi never worked in rooms, where we had travel to the lobby area to access WiFi. Credit to the location and restaurant staff at the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel even if it’s free.
Only a block from the Jaffa Center light rail station and close to the Old City, this hotel's true charm comes from Danny, his family, and the entire staff of the Litov who bring to life the beauty of Jerusalem.
It is a quiet and convenient option close to the old city. Just be aware that as a religious hotel they won’t offer any service during Shabbat, for exemple, you can join their prepared meals but you won’t be able to have a hot shower…
