The staff, without exception was very attentive to all facets of out stay, and, as if this were not sufficient, there was a guest relations manager, (Ronit Elispur) who went out of her way to assure the best possible stay.

Nice location and very helpful staff. However, the artificial fragrance sprayed in the lobby every morning is a major problem for those who are chemically sensitive. Also, mildew in the bathroonm. Overpriced whem compared with other hotels in the area.

Just a few nights stay here, but this hotel deserves a very good rating. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Free internet was fast, television selections adequate, and the kettle for tea and coffee was appreciated. Hotel dining was inviting. Generous selections of quality food items with thoughtful attention by the dining room staff. The location of this hotel gives guests good opportunities to stroll out for shopping or sightseeing. Very pleasant stay.

We spent three nights here last week and loved it. The location is perfect to the Old City and the urban life of Jerusalem. The room was clean, and food was great. It's an easy walk downtown and to the areas nearby. I loved the attached park and the local life to the hotel. If you are going to Jerusalem I recommend this for your headquarters.

My wife and I had the chance to stay again at the L. Plaza in Jerusalem for Succoth. Although the hotel was pretty full, we always felt wanted and cared for. We never felt that we were taken for granted and all the staff tried to make us feel welcome to our home away from home. From Helena who made us fresh omelettes each morning to Maya who was always trying to make sure we had all that we wanted at breakfast to Ronit who always made sure that our stay was going well and that we knew how to get around Jerusalem etc... See my review this summer following our stay then -more details about the hotel, etc - just wanted to add this piece following our most recent stay. We have stayed before and we will surely stay again, and again, and again as long as we are made to feel welcome and at home!

The staff was superb. Ronit at guest relations is professional and accommodating as well as the front desk Anything we needed was taken care of. The food was good. We are looking forward to coming back.

Staff were very good and helpful, Left a ring in the safe and it was returned to me 3 days later. Security guy at the front followed it through and it was safely returned. Clean and very comfortable hotel. Too much furniture in the room for me, Pity those post cards left at reception never turned up at home. POST THEM GUYS

The rooms are nice: comfortable and great views. The bathroom was old and not luxurious but everything worked fine. The hotel itself is quite old but well-maintained. It may not be as nice as the KD, Mamila, Citadel or Waldorf but the service was amazing. I have never seen a staff that was so dedicated to the hotel guests. Chef Kadosh is a true mentsch and a real pro. Probably the best food in any hotel in Jerusalem. Ronit from customer service was extremely nice and made us feel right at home. Yousuf and the dining staff are incredibly nice, efficient and were attentive to every request that we had. I recommend the Plaza highly and plan to go back soon.

Great hotel in a terrific location. My only complaints is about housekeeping and towels. When I first arrived I showered and found the towel literally disintegrated in my hand; the other wasn't much better. The manager was very embarrassed and replaced them immediately. I found during our 5 night stay that the daily towels were all very old and worn. Come on folks, buy some towels. Also housekeeping, besides not seeing any of this, seldom made sure that all the towels were present, and tissue and toilet paper stocked-up. I had to call housekeeping or look for them several times. This hotel can do a lot better on these things that are bare minimum services. Other than this, my rating would be much higher.

Our room was on the 12th floor. View was very good overlooking Independence Park. Size and amenities of the room were excellent. Always plenty of bathroom items - soap, shampoo and lotion. Linens were beautiful and very comfortable. Within easy walking distance of Jaffa Gate. Dining was tops - Would rate it 5 of 5 for everything - selection, presentation, variety, flavor and service. We will choose this hotel on a return trip to Israel.
