Stayed here for a 5 day break booked very much last minute. Had a Premier Room, No 14, which was at the end of a hall so no “passing traffic”. The room was large with a massive bed, settee, bucket chair, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The en-suite had a bath as well as an over bath shower. The room was spotlessly clean and was maintained this way by the staff throughout the visit, clean towels every day, etc. Not much of a view from the room but at least you could open windows and let fresh air in. There was some noise at night, but remember the hotel is in the middle of a town. There is a small stadium behind the hotel but we had no noise from that although there was sporting activities early on a couple of evenings. The standard of catering in the hotel was exceptional, in terms of quality, presentation and value for money. This was backed up by excellent and friendly service. We did eat out one evening but on reflection a bad idea since the hotel was so good. Not a bad selection of reasonably priced wines either. Outside the pool area was also well-kept and very clean. Plenty of pool towels provided. To sum up a great place to stay within easy walking distance of the centre of St Helier, the bus station and beaches. No need for car hire and the hotel arranged a taxi transfer to the airport, also providing safe storage for our luggage so we could enjoy a full last day.
We enjoyed our weeks stay at the Hampshire Hotel. We had a standard room which was ok for a weeks stay. The breakfast was really good, great staff, very helpful and so friendly.Everywhere was so clean, including the pool, would definitely return some time in the future
We only stayed here for one night but wish it could have been longer! We were upgraded to a superior room, which was great as it was my husband's birthday. The room was huge and really spacious and had everything you'd need. The bed was really comfortable and the room was spotless The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The pool looked really inviting but unfortunately we didn't have the time to use it! The location is quite good - about a ten minute walk into the centre of St Helier on a really nice, quiet street. The only niggle was that the room was VERY hot - no air conditioning and no air seemed to circulate in the room without the windows wide open. Overall though, we had a lovely time and would definitely return.
My friend and I stayed in a premier room for a week and found it spacious and spotless. The parking was great and we always found a spot. The pool area was relaxing and kept very clean. The breakfast choice was great and the staff were always topping up the dishes of fresh fruit salad, berries, yoghurts etc. There was a decent choice of hot food available also. We did think the price of the special orders of omelette or smoked salmon with eggs was a bit expensive though. Good idea to have the refill coffee jugs dotted around to help yourself. Waiting on staff friendly and efficient and the restaurant manager was good with his friendly banter. Reception staff were helpful, especially the blonde lady, who assisted us when my friend was ill and we couldn't go on a trip we had already booked. The hotel is a great base for exploring the island and is only a 10 minute easy walk into town. There is a co-op around the corner for newspapers etc. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings during our stay and the meals were excellent. Beautifully presented and delicious. We did find it surprising that the bar staff were not up on making cocktails. But the friendly barman did get some pineapple juice in especially for my friend. Would highly recommend.
Stayed at The Hampshire Hotel 7th and 8th July with two friends. We had a Triple room which was perfectly adequate with facilities to suit. All Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfasts were lovely with plenty of choice even when i asked for scrambled eggs they came nicely presented. The owners of the Hotel are very welcoming and sorted out a problem with the shower very efficiently, and were also kind enough to print out our return flight boarding passes. Also a big thank you for the Birthday card and chocs found in our room on arrival for my friends birthday. Would definately stay here again and would thoroughly recommend The Hampshire. Thanks again
We stayed here 5yrs ago and enjoyed it so much, so this year we decided to come back because Its such a lovely hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor and at the front of the hotel which we found the road noise very loud on the first night, I mentioned it to reception the next morning and within hours they had our luggage moved to yet another lovely room but at the rear of the hotel which was perfect. The hotel has a lovely feel to it so relaxing and the food is excellent and the waiters so polite and friendly. The ladies on reception are so helpful and make you feel welcome.
stayed for 5 nights room and bathroom very clean and everything you could want staff very friendly and pleasant lovely pool area breakfast excellent with plenty choice would certainly recommend this hotel
A very good (plus) hotel in St Helier. It suited my requirements, just a short walk to the centre of town, convenient for restaurants, good standard of food cooked on the premises, friendly staff/management. Room quality of a high standard. Reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend
First can I say how good the food was, compliments to the chef on doing such lovely meals and especially good because I'm a vegetarian. We ate in hotel for 3 nights of our 4 night stay. The hotel was basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was no A/C in rooms which made it uncomfortable to sleep but we requested a fan and it was taken to room within 5 minutes, this made it more comfortable to sleep. There was tea/coffee in rooms but no safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They will arrange bus trips for you. The hotel is about 10 minute flat walk to the sea front, shops and bus station. It s a good base for exploring the island
Stayed here for two nights with my family and one other guest. Ticks all the boxes, very very clean. Great pool if the weather is good. Fabulous Breakfast and the service is superb. Easy parking and free wifi. First night we had dinner in the restaurant which was of a higher standard than the 3 stars this hotel is awarded. Highly recommend and we will return without a doubt.
