Been to Hampshire Hotel in St. Hellier, Jersey, for the last 2 years for short breaks, with young people with learning difficulties. The rooms are very family orientated with double & single beds. very cleaning & tidy. Towels changed daily. The staff are excellent with the young people and were happy to adjust the meals for the young people who had eating problems. Thanks to you again we all enjoyed our stay..
The welcome was friendly and informative. Our room, whilst being a little dated in terms of decor, was quiet and everything worked well, wifi was a good speed. Breakfast was terrific with full English and pastries. We did not try swim in the pool as the weather was not good, but it seemed to be heated. Reception rooms were clean and well decorated, but more importantly, the staff went out of their way to be helpful. No hesitation in returning.
Our first time in jersey , this was a great hotel to stay at, 10 mins walk into town, good sized room, fantastic food. Ate 3 nights out of 4 at the hotel which was not the plan but with packed days we were happy to stay at the hotel at night with such great food on offer. Nice pool area and lovely bar area to relax and have a drink. Breakfast was very good. Recommend the war tunnels, island coastal tour and bike hire (cycled to corbière) stopped off fur lunch in st AUBIN also a lovely town. Weather was also perfect. Will be back for sure, think this is the first of many trips to jersey
We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and even a 7 star hotel. But it's the smaller family hotels that are always the ones you're made to feel more welcome rather than just another guest. From the moment we arrived the owner and staff could not have been more accommodating, the room was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Hampshire to anyone visiting Jersey.
WE went to stay in the Hampshire 3 star AA hotel from 13 th to 20 th May. I asked for a quiet room and was given room 35, a large spacious superior room at the end of the 2nd floor corridor with a large double and single plus an extra single room off the main bedroom. IT was absolutely quiet. We booked half board and were very pleased we did because the food was excellent, cooked to order with the menu changing frequently. THe Rack of lamb and the Surf and turf were first class accompanied by Royal Jersey Potatoes! The breakfast buffets were also generous and varied with a good choice of English or continental. WE didn't venture into the outdoor heated pool as it was a little cool in May! THe bar and restaurant are are well furnished and comfortable and the prices of drinks very acceptable for a 3 star AA hotel.
Great hotel and excellent food, service second to none and the staff can't do enough, very welcoming, went here for a charity meal with over 50 guests. Prices are very reasonable and great ambience. Do not browse past this gem when looking to stay in Jersey next, or even have something to eat :-)
This is a very nice hotel located on the outskirts of the town within a residential area with good free car parking facilities for hotel guests which is a major bonus. We booked a superior double room (No.37) for 4 nights H/B which was situated on the second floor with no annoying noises or issues to report with views of the surrounding houses close by. Some people may feel that the view from the bedrooms are not great but I would suggest that this is possibly a common situation around St. Helier due to it being such a built up area. It would be worth contacting the Hampshire to discuss your needs as they have many rooms on different levels which can effect the vistas. If you prefer stunning views in this resort you may have to pay a premium or consider another resort in Jersey - there are a number of beautiful bays in more rural surroundings to choose from and would be worth researching if this is an important factor. The hotel is superbly maintained and managed in all areas with a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking the pool area. One of the highlights for us was the quality of food served in the evening on a H/B basis - it was outstanding!! There is a good selection of wines to choose at reasonable prices. The breakfast options were very good and everything was cooked and presented as you would expect from a high quality hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff who were always very helpful, polite and professional. We arrived from the airport via taxi which cost £18. There is also a bus service at the airport (No.15) which takes you into St Helier Bus Station for £2 each. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from St. Helier town. I am struggling to find any negatives to mention about this great hotel. I can definitely recommend this place when visiting Jersey.
There was nothing we could fault about this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, spotless bedroom and bathroom, fantastic breakfast and a very approachable, smiley manager, all the staff looked happy to be there which is very refreshing. A lovely pool with plenty of space to relax around when the sun is shining and only a ten to fifteen minute walk into the centre of st helier so we could leave our car in the hotel car park and not worry about finding a parking space in town. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you're planning a trip to jersey.
Excellent Hotel accommodation, decor, food, service and location. Within walking distance of town! Pool with beds and outdoor seating area. Impressed with the menu prices and food. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. Would reccomended and return!
The restaurant, and food was very good, however the housekeeping left a lot to be desired, room was rather tatty, and the bathroom cleanliness was lacking a good bleaching, we had to ask for replacement loo rolls as none were left, and the carpet had aargh burn mark from an iron where an earlier guest used the carpet as an ironing board. We wouldn't race back.
