Welcome to the The Jasper Octagon! Located at the tip top of Mt. Oglethorpe in the beautiful Bent Tree community of Jasper. Three thousand feet elevation AND paved access. The original start of the Appalachian Trail is visible from the driveway. 360 degree views. Hiking trails, lake, beach, fishing, 18 hole golf and horseback riding all located in the community! A short drive to town has lots cute restaurants to chose from and you’re only an hour and a half from Atlanta.

Come play in our 2200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 3 bath Octagon with a loft giving you plenty of space for the whole family to spread out! The main level has a cozy screened in porch with bistro table and egg chair to relax in and watch the sunset. Two bedrooms and a full bath are located on the main level along with a fully equipped eat in kitchen and seating area with a smart TV. All bedrooms have a smart tv with Netflix, Hulu, Prime and Disney+ The basement is a dream for kids and kids at heart with shuffleboard, board games, 2 arcade machines and a large sectional with a 70” smart tv. You will also find the bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a half bath here. The upstairs loft has more room to play with 2 nuggets to lounge on or build forts with, a cozy hanging chair and the entrance to the 7 foot slide - weeee!

From the upper deck you can enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains full of deer and other wildlife and enjoy outdoor dining. There is also a propane firepit, charcoal grill and covered picnic area so you can sit by the fire or roast marshmallows under the stars. A hiking trail starts just 20 feet from the driveway, the original start of the Appalachian trail!
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a desk.

On top of the mountain! The house was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked. Extremely quiet! The owner is very quick to text you back. Dual coffee pot- pods or whole pot. We loved the slide and the fire pit. Hot tub would not heat up but that was ok. Coffee on the back deck with a gentle cool breeze was perfect.

Perfect Fall Birthday Celebration

My daughter turned 12 & took 3 friends to celebrate her big day. The downstairs was amazing set up for the girls and they LOVED the slide. We cooked all of our meals at the Octagon and the kitchen was nicely stocked. We slept great and never left the cabin except for some walks. Saw lots of bear and deer. Enjoyed the firepit and roasted s’mores. Watched movies and football and soaked up the amazing weather. My daughter asked when we could return before we left the driveway. The host was extremely responsive. Highly recommend. My dog even enjoyed his stay.

Great stay!

Overall this was a great time for my family. We got to see bears and deer! The hot tub was not working properly but other than that we had a wonderful time. Wish we could have stayed another day!

Jasper Octagon did not disappoint

Myself, husband, two small children, and our chihuahua stayed a long weekend at the Jasper Octagon and we cannot say enough good things! The house is perfect for kids and adults with stuff to keep everyone entertained. The slide, kids loft, and games downstairs were so fun for the littles, plus almost every room had a smart TV with all the streaming you could ever need. The house was clean and came with all essentials. The decor was adorable as well, and each room had comfortable bedding. Host was very kind and responsive. Property was beautiful and secluded, but still had all the amenities of the Bent Tree community. There was much to do without even having to leave the neighborhood. We definitely recommend and would come back again!

Top of the Mountain

The hosts go above and beyond with little touches from mints on the pillows, stocked keurig, comfortable mattresses and bedding, thick towels to Netflix and a variety of tv apps. The Jasper Octagon is heaven for kids of all ages and everyone is certain to find something to keep entertained. The views are spectacular and the nearby Eagle’s Nest Trail is a nice (not too challenging hike) way to take in the scenery. We saw birds, bears and deer during our stay in Bent Tree. The ground floor has bunk beds, a couch and bathroom but you need to be able to climb stairs to access the other levels. The home smelled fresh and was well-cleaned.
