We stayed in the camelot condos but I visited the spa and pool area in the Inn. After seeing the pictures on trip advisor my expectations were low, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The shuttle service was great to and from and the Areas I visited at the Inn were nice and toasty. I do wish the spa had its own sauna, steam room, and whirlpool since the pool area was really loud since it was filled with kids. The prices are steep for what the spa is, but I guess they have a captive audience. They do have shower facilities in the spa. My overall impression of the Inn was that it needed a refresh, the 1980's are calling and they want their red carpet back.
We went up for opening day again this year. Stayed at the Inn and skied all day. The skiing is right outside your door. You basically ski and and ski out. The rooms are all updated and modern. Very comfortable bedding and humungous TVs. All of the rooms have free wifi. Included with the stay is a pass to the pool (which is ridiculously) big and an indoor outdoor hot tub. I highly recommend this for families, couples, friends, etc.
Nice skiing area. Lodge and condos very nice. Had dinner at 210 Pub, very enjoyable. Pool and fitness center very nice also. Visited surrounding towns while here. Candle making shop with tons of items to look at and very nice antique store.
We first stayed here 40 years ago, returned a year later for our anniversary and came back several times for golf and pleasure. It is a great getaway and the rooms are unique. Everything has been upgraded. The fireplace rooms are now gas fired. The food has always been excellent. Great ambiance.
The resort is first class. The rooms are very large with a quiet setting. The food in the dining room was excellent. Great breakfast served in the Starbucks on site. Golf course is just across the street. Get your gas before coming there, since there is only one gas station and it only has regular gasoline.
We stayed at the Inn on a two day golf package to play the Upper Course (highly recommend). The only reason for only a three rating is that our otherwise excellent room was in the middle of a number of guests attending a conference and unfortunately the room next to ours seemed to be the late night party room. We finally contacted the front desk at 2am and people started leaving. The suggestion that I might offer hotel management is to try to locate guests not participating in conferences away from conference participants (even if requiring an upgrade).
Overall we had a good stay. My kids loved the indoor pool and s'mores around the fire pit. The outdoor pool is not heated and it was a chilly August night when we were there so we couldn't use it unfortunately. That was disappointing since there is a water slide out there. There is a small playground area for kids too. Also offer some zip lines, etc. but my kids were too little for those. Dinner at the restaurant directly across from the Inn was fine but service was terribly slow! Breakfast at the restaurant inside the Inn was affordable ($8/Adults or $4/Kids) and a nice buffet with much better service. Also a Starbucks inside. Some staff were very helpful.... some not as much. The front desk attendant couldn't tell us anything about food offerings on the resort? Since it was our first visit, we weren't sure what there was? Luckily another guest helped us. Overall, it's a bit dated & feels like it could use an update. But the room was basic and clean. A nice overnight getaway for the summer, but probably more fun in the winter!
This is a nice place but a bit outdated unless you rent a condo. I stayed in a 7 bedroom condo and it was nice but probably a bit pricey. The pool is nice however it is always packed. People can buy passes who do not stay at the resort. I would stay here again.
The property is very nice and the rooms in the inn were clean. Stayed for one night in mid-May. Just received my credit card bill and I was billed twice: I was billed the day I made the reservation and then again the day I arrived. And now I get passed from the front desk to 'accounting' who's 'out of the office'. Btw- The restaurant was also pretty good as was the bar service. Breakfast service was terrible as there was one woman covering everything...not her fault, she was doing a fantastic considering the situation.
Ugh. To rent a condo it's twice as much as the rate. Rip off. $300 deposit, 119 cleaning and about 90 in 'fees'. And what's with this new advertising of pool passes with a room? It's the hotel pool, rent a room go,swim. No big extra there. On the packages though they act like it's some bonus to get a pool pass. How stupid. The peek is way over priced for some dinosour hotel with tiny ski hills
