This is the only hotel in the small town of Arroyo Seco or Conca as you may wish to call it. It is an old hotel which is in need of some updating and modernization! Though we had a very large with two double beds, it was not very comfortable. For example there was only one socket to charge phone and it was next to the bathroom sink! Not a place where I like to leave my phone. The bathroom stool was an ancient model which looked as if made for a child because it was so small and close to the floor! And it had a permanent ring inside the toilet bowl! Though possibly clean it gave appearance of filthy because they have not bothered to use cleaning aids to remove the ring. I found no hangers either. The furniture was dated and scratched. There was no place to sit other than the bed. The windows for the bathroom are the old glass “blinds” that open to the passageway and they allow you to hear all noise outside on the walkway as People go to rooms. The location is perfect and the garden lovely. They just need to spend Some money to “refresh” the light fixtures and bathroom fixtures. There is a good pool and also a beautiful 500 year old tree on the grounds. The employees are very friendly And helpful. And the restaurant was acceptable! There was no internet the entire time we were there. In the town itself There are three points of interest in the town itself . And they can be seen in less than one hour. I would never want to spend more than one night in Concá. And if possible I would recommend staying in the nearby town of Jalpan. There are more lodging options there! And it is only about 35 kilometers!

The Mision Hotel is in a small town with one of Juniper Serra's missions nearby. The grounds are lovely, the beds are plush and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was good, the staff was efficient and friendly. Air conditioning and free wifi. Would stay there again.

Our stay at Mision Conca was no terrible but the sum of small details that went wrong do accumulate. - The pool was green when we arrived and could not use it. (photos) - There is another pool but way smaller and crowded. - There is no WiFi in the rooms. - At dinner, they told us we could not order from menu because there was a big group of children and it would be too complicated to prepare something for us. Too complicated... - There is a empty space by the front desk that used to be a bar but it no longer operates. There is not one good place to sit a chat and have a drink. (photo) - My wife reserved a temascal session for 9:30 and when she got there they told her there would not a 9:30 session and to come back at 11:30. Checkout is at noon so we went to the front desk and then they would make a special exception for us. - Why we had to go to the front desk to solve that? There are no phones in the room. - So we decided to eat breakfast but again no service just a pathetic buffet. Again the told us because they had the big group and they did not have time to serve us. Real words from the waiter. This hotel is part of a big chain in Mexico and we never expected this lack of professionalism. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so the next place to have a decent meal is 30 min away and you should not drive on those roads at night. We will never return to this hotel. There are much better options in Jalpan.

Very disappointed, no wait! Very pissed off! We drove 7 hours to get to the hotel with two young children. When we arrived, the idiot behind the counter could find my reservation even though I had called tree times during the day to confirm it. Although rooms were available the idiot refused to give us a room. I spent ovet an hour arguing with the idiot, even showed charge from my credit card where I paid for reservation in advance. STILL NO ROOM. That evening everything in the area was sold out, had to drive two hours to get hotel, by this time it’s 3am. Next day I drove 2 hours to the hotel to ensure I had a room. The same clerk was there said that I onfact did have room the previous night and tried to blame another clerk but did not offer an apolgy. I simply told the clerk F himself and demanded to speak with GM, which was nevet available. I left my cell # snd demanded to be called, but that never happened. 4 weeks later: > Still have not heard from the GM > Still have not been given crefit for the pre-paid room that was not honored. > Still no apology > Still call from GM I’M SURE THE SUPPOSED GM THAT RESPONSE TO REVIEWS WILL NOT RESPOND! THANK GOD! I HAD TO FILE CREDIT DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE CHARGES! Do I sound PISSED OF? DAM RIGHT I AM! But, I savor in the thought I will never be there AGAIN! Sorry about so many !!!!!! Fox !!

We used Mision Conca as our base for exploring the Sierra Gorda Queretano. The rooms were comfortable, the AC worked, and the wifi was consistently good. The restaurant is very simple and just a covered space, but it was a relaxing place to eat and watch the fireflies. The food was nothing to write home about, simple but ok.

The hotel was nice and located in a convenient location, as it allows you to easily visit the nearby locations of the Sierra Gorda. My only complaint is the cold water when showering early in the morning. Due to its location be aware of the mosquitos, at all times close doors to avoid having sleepless nights. One more thing, be aware that the toilets are easily clogged.

This hotel has lots of things to do. Including a Temazcal, it also has some water springs with nice crystal clear water. Do not miss the massage!!. There are multiple activities prepared by the Hotel Staff to keep the kids busy and interested. From this hotels you can go an visit in the area amazing rivers in the mountains. "Puente de Dios".. Thank you to the "Hermanos de La Luz" show, we had a great Evening.

At first glance, the place looks pretty regular, but when you actually discover the whole place, it is absolutely lovely. The rooms are pretty neat, they offer good climate, nice cleaning, everything OK with rooms. As far as food, everything you order is good in size, just enough to be satisfied. They almost always have everything in menu (which rarely happens since hotels in the middle of nowhere usually "ran out of it" translation of we never have it). But this hotel does have a lot of nice great food. Everything tasted delicious. Activities are really good, all held by Los Hermanos de la Luz, which are really funny gentleman always in their role of priests-like. You wont get bored during your stay here because of the Theme Hotel they offer. Activities, sketches, relaxation/meditation, snorkeling, Plenty of things to do. More can be done sure. They have a lot of nature around, rivers, temazcal, everything for a relaxing resting stay. Protected areas due to their valuable natural resources. It is really near some good places to go, waterfalls, rivers, towns, ask people from there!! They will tell you how much time, what you need, plan your vacations so you have the chance to see it all around the area and dont miss a thing. BAD THINGS: Food takes a while to be served.... so, arrive before you are hungry, take your time, chat with others, take a nap, and wait patiently. Even with, people servicing are really nice and understanding. But service velocity DO needs to get improved. Also Wifi, comes and goes, which is kind of understandable. But would probably need to me improved.

Great hotel, great entertainers: Los Hermanos de la Luz, they were very funny and great with all the family. The food was delicious, full Mexican breakfast and dinner buffet. The only minus was that the curtains let a lot of light in early in the morning... Great hotel for anyone wanting relaxation and ecotourism.

The beds and rooms were very comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the grounds were beautiful. Very nice and relaxing. Close to the Mission in Conca and some of the Sierra Gorda nature destinations. Hot water! Restaurant was great one night and mediocre the next - definitely good breakfasts.
