As soon as I got there the staff immediately started helping, they helped with luggage, opened the doors, guided me where to go. They led me to check in which is on the 51st floor. Gave me my room card and there was a water station there so I got some. Headed to my room and it was enormous. Beautiful views, everything was clean, amazing bathroom and had a separate room for my luggage. A few minutes later and the staff brought my bags to my room. Breakfast here is wonderful. Most of the tables have a fantastic view of the city. The food selection was great and you can have breakfast up to 11am. I recommend getting there before 10:30 because that’s when they start to clean up. The bar was amazing and affordable, very friendly guest and had no issues talking in English. There’s lots of foreigners there so you’ll have no trouble talking.!If there’s a problem they always try to accommodate you. The swimming pool is fantastic with enough room. The chairs they had at the pool are comfortable and spacious. The hot tubs are in the locker room, separate for men and women. The sauna is a good size and was perfect. They close the pool at 10pm but even at the later hours there’s still people enjoying themselves. There’s a good sized plaza near the hotel that’s only 8 minutes away walking. That plaza has lots of food options, Starbucks, KFC, Hokben, lots of cafes, yogurt spots and much more. Theres no mall within walking distance but if you take a taxi it’s a 12-18 minute drive.

Might not be worth it.

Rooms are beautiful and comfortable but had an odd experience when I tried to charge our dinner at Henshin (top floor restaurant/bar) to my room. Since dinner was more than my deposit they would not let me charge to my room unless I added to the deposit, essentially making me pre-pay for dinner. I have elite BonVoy status and have stayed at this hotel in the past. Big miss for management. Shameful. (And Henshin is not worth the money. Menu selection is odd, drinks were not good, and the service was shockingly bad considering how much staff they have on hand).

Scam alert for those staying at Westin Jakarta

I rate the hotel’s service as being less than poor mainly because what happened at its “rooftop” bar called Henshin. On Dec 30, a friend and I went to the bar, and I ordered a 50-milliliter glass of Japanese whisky Yamasaki 12 which was priced at 1.625 million rupiah (roughly $100). Despite being on the menu, Yamasaki 12 was not available, and the person who took the order recommended another Japanese whisky brand called Hakushu. Thinking Hakushu was in a similar price range since the waiter at a Westin Hotel bar was recommending, I relented without actually checking its price with him or on the menu. You guess it right: I should have checked Hakushu’s price since I was hit with a bill totaling 4.386 million rupiah (roughly $270) at the end of the evening. My Hakushu double or 50 milliliters was 4 million rupiah plus and my friend’s share was smaller since he ordered a soft drink. When I checked out the next day, the desk’s duty manager was sympathetic, but I didn’t ask for a reimbursement since I should have checked the price of Hakushu. Henshin’s (bar’s) manager a few days later emailed me and the person apologized “if there was a shortfall regarding the service from my team.” When I explained (again) what happened with my order, the person denied it was a scam. “In Westin, we care about the value of integrity and I believe my team didn't mean to scam you but it is more on how to communicate better.” Yeah, right.

Great Breakfast, But Rooms Need an Update I recently stayed at The Westin Jakarta, and while my overall experience was positive, there were a few aspects that stood out for different reasons. Let me start with the highlight of my stay—the breakfast buffet. It was absolutely fantastic! There was an incredible variety of dishes, and I was thrilled to find a South Indian food selection as well. The quality of the food was excellent, and the options catered to various tastes, making breakfast one of the best parts of my experience. However, when it comes to the rooms, I found the interior to be quite outdated. Although the room was clean and comfortable, the decor felt like it belonged to an older hotel. The furnishings and overall ambiance gave off a somewhat tired feel, and I believe the rooms could benefit from a modern refresh to match the high standards of the hotel’s other offerings. While The Westin Jakarta still offers a comfortable stay, especially with its amazing breakfast, I think a room upgrade would make it an even

Awesome hotel with amazing views over Jakarta

We had a wonderful few-night stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious with amazing views over Jakarta CBD. Excellent services and a wide range of foods are offered for breakfast. A highly recommended hotel for staying in central Jakarta.
