This is one of my favourite hotels. Service was outstanding. The pool and and surrounds are beautiful. Food is delicious and they have food events during the week which I would recommend attending. Highly recommend.

Most friendly and helpful Marketing Executive ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Try the best menu over there Selera Nusantara, highly recommended. Bimasena creates a warm atmosphere while running a business gathering overthere.

Lovely hotel that integrates the best of Indonesia and the efficiency and convenience of the west without losing the very special Indonesian touch. Every staff member was outstanding, serviceable and friendly. It was an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Food was great, singer and pianist at the restaurant was lovely, room was a dream, butlers and other staff members were outstanding.

It's brand as the luxury and best hotel in town. Indeed it's the grandest hotel in Jakarta and the expectation would be high when you decide to come and stay there. I have to say the service was the top and the attention we received was fantastic. However after the Dharmawangsa is 'older' hotel and the room need to be upgrade or replace with newer product. The bed was just not you find in this kind of hotel it was hard and just disappointed. The balcony was very hard to open and made squeaky noise. Anyhow it used to be the great one. The service was immaculate but the facility need to be replace.

Outside the gates of the Dharwawangsa is the controlled chaos of Jakarta. Inside there is calm, fragrant flowers and simply superb service. Upon checking in, I was shown to my room by my butler who offered to press my clothes and deliver tea/coffee each morning (I politely declined both offers). My room was massive, immaculate and exceptionally comfortable. Not a single cushion, towel or piece of paper was so much as a millimetre out of place. I'm hard pressed to think of many other hotels that maintain this degree of perfectionism. Above all else, the Dharmawangsa excels at customer service. Every single member of the staff, from the two guys who opened the doors as I left each morning, to the receptionist and the waiters, could not have been more courteous and polite. Breakfast included a good selection that catered to various ethnic tastes: waffles to fried rice. Dinners were very good with a wide variety of offerings and a buffet if you are so inclined (we didn't try it). Strangely, it seemed that the outside food menu was not as extensive as the one we were presented when we ate inside. I'm sure that all the food is available in both places but make sure to ask for the full menu. The fitness centre is located in the "club" building out the back and past the outdoor pool. The facilities are on par with a standard city gym and they even have a squash court. The outdoor pool closes at 19:00 so I never managed to get a swim in but the indoor infinity pool is open later and offers a nice view over the gardens. Two small issues keep me from making this a five-star review: One, they turn the central air conditioning down (or off) in the early morning hours. Twice I had to speak to reception because I woke up at 2AM in a stifling hot room. I understand that they want to conserve energy and save on costs but in a climate like Jakarta, skimping on AC at a luxury hotel is a bit of a false economy. Second, I asked reception to post two small letters and they informed me, politely of course, that with their 35% service charge, it would cost me roughly US $50 to send them. I am very rarely charged anything by a hotel to post a letter and $50 is simply beyond a joke. Please don't let my two preceding comments sour you on this hotel. In every aspect that matters, the place is fabulous and I would unhesitatingly stay there again and recommend it to anyone who wants a touch of old-school luxury in Jakarta.

Special hotel with traditional javanese ambience. Relaxing and luxury room, excellent services, with nice and quiet atmosphere. There are lot of free facilities such as open door whirl pool with beautiful views, fitness lounge, swimming pool, garden, etc. I love the taste of foods here especially indonesian menu.

This is a very beautiful and unique hotel. An oasis. Big room, comfortable bed and fantastic bathroom. Very special and unique touches. Personal stationary, musicians and butler brings coffee in the morning. Definite recommend for those seeking a special Indonesian experience.

Room is marvelous , huge with 2 Bath room , excellent view (if have pool view), many restaurant inside the hotel, very Indonesian touch. We have an event in the Ball Room a few months back, the Sales Team of Mr. Aryaduta Andi Sinta and Ms. Margaretha very helpful, understand what we want- we got everything we need. Would like to come back for our 2nd event but unfortunately the ball room under renovation. I will say 4 thumbs up for Mr. Aryaduta Andi Sinta and Ms. Margaretha , they are recommended PIC for your event

Had a short 2 night break at this hotel to get away from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta. It proved to be an excellent choice. A characterful building, huge rooms, helpful staff, plentiful buffet breakfast, indoor and outdoor pools, plus tranquility in the centre of Jakarta. A little bit more expensive than some of its local 5 star rivals (although much cheaper than its London equivalents) it is worth paying the extra.

Unique decor, highest standard, elegance and luxury hotel. Tradisional Indonesia design, colors, sequence and gardens with sounds of birds and flowing water. Butlers team also serve make enjoyable. Makes a wonderful experience.
