I will stay in this hotel regularly this time booked a suite.The room is big and very nice. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone Pros - excellent food - Good staff - good facilities Cons - location (heavy traffic area) - Always crowded ( this mainly becos they have meetings room) I will highly recommend this old

I am a regular guest here, and always get treated very well. The renovated upper levels are very nice, as is the executive lounge. The hotel has many different themes with its room packages and restaurant dishes. I feel the hotel is in a very strategic position (between the airport and the centre of the Jakarta), and hence should be exposed to many travellers. In my opinion, the hotel needs to decide the market that it wants to cater for, and this is a problem that many 4 star hotels face.

The hotel is really easy to get to from the airport by taxi and just off the main toll road. To explore other areas from here it is nice and central as well. We were in Room 713 and it has a huge bathroom and very spacious bedroom and living area. The Power Shower was the best shower I have ever had - didn't want to leave every morning! Beds are good size and comfortable and with 2 TV's and 2 Toilets it is ideal for families. Breakfast has a good selection as well and for the price we paid this is excellent value indeed. We will be back many times :-)

I had a three-days-business-meeting at this 4-star hotel. The first impression when I came to this hotel was "it's an old and classic style" hotel. They called it "Menara" or "Tower" since this hotel have 24 floors. Brown and light brown colors dominated the interior hotel, and it feel "gloomy". But the hotel staff was helpful and greetings with a smile. The bed room was clean enough and spacious (about 28 sqm) with a central air conditioning system and a little difficult for me to adjust the room temperature (or perhaps the temperatur controller was not working?). The light system in the bed room was not bright enough for me to work on a laptop. Again, I have to admit this hotel was "old enough" and need total improvement (but later I heard this hotel was built on 1998, it's not so old). I heard that some floors of the hotel already renovated, but many floors are not yet. The dinner buffet menu at Rumpi Lounge was very OK, many good options and the food taste was OK. Although the meeting committee provided me a room for stay, but on the last minutes I prefer to booked and stayed at the other hotel which its facilities were more convenient for me. For people who love a classic style hotel, maybe this hotel is for you.

First, no one did greet us in front of the lobby, until we entered and asked the staff to bring our luggages. The Greeters/Staffs put no smile and somehow were not really welcome, receptionist was not helpful and gave no solutions to problems. Room was just ok. Breakfast Menu in the resto MUST be improved, lack of taste, lack of variant, again no waiters offered coffee/tea to us. Overall, VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I've been staying here for many times for work or family matter. The hotel is in a good location (maybe because it's next to my office hahaha...) and not too far from Grand Indonesia shopping mall. The newly renovated executive floor is nice and modern, but room service price is way too expensive for a so-so food.

My first impression was lack of hospitality. The room was not too amusing, but with affordable price, I say this was better. When I arrived at the hotel, there was nobody on the concierge helping me carry my travel bags. The AC was broken, sometimes it turned off. Towels were not clean and quite raggy. At first I was planning to give 3 stars rate, but the breakfast buffet was too good, that's why I rate it 4 stars. Menus were vary and they tasted delicious.

Menara Peninsula is an old hotel i guess. The building looks old but the service is great. I like the breakfast, they serve many menus, lots of bread, drinks, fruit and even other desserts. And I like all the taste, it fits perfectly on my tongue. The position of the hotel is less strategic, several times I booked a taxi and the taxi driver was confused how to get into the door of his lobby. But I keep recommending this hotel. Not disappointed.

I love the room, it's spacious, bathroom is also spacious with a great shower and tubs. The television is a bit small and outdated, need immediate improvement here. Cleanliness is okay, bathroom amenities are perfect, and a newspaper every morning. Sound insulation needs improvement, specially in the bathroom, the shower sound from next door is really loud. Breakfast choices are great, tons of choices, but tastewise is a so so. I didn't get the chance to try out the pools, spa and fitness tho, maybe next time. In room dinner menu is great but expensive. Location is easy, close enough to get anywhere, very close to slipi jaya plaza, just a few meters walking distance. It was a good stay, will stay again.

This is my second long weekend stay at this hotel, so I thought I would take advantage of the newly renovated Executive Floor. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries and stay in hotels with Executive Floors, so my expectations were probably high. As you will read, I was somewhat disappointed. I have to say that the rooms are spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The staff are very polite and courteous, and check in is a breeze. I would just like to share with you, some of the things I find to be misleading. The hotel advertises that each room on this floor has a Jacuzzi, a Rain Shower, a Spa Bath and Iron and Board. In fact, the rooms do NOT have these. There is a Jacuzzi, but it's in the Spa. There are baths in each room, but NOT Spa baths. The Executive Floor package tries to entice you with such things as free drinks and food, in the Executive Lounge. Unfortunately, this extends to 1 glass of wine each, or 1 beer, per person, per day! The hotel now offers Afternoon Tea, where you can get finger buffet food, in the lounge. This is advertised as 1500-1800, which is then changed to the advertised 'Canopies?'. In reality, this is the same tired and dried up finger buffet that is left over from the Afternoon Tea. A Dinner Buffet was also advertised, but when I went down to eat, I was told that due to low occupancy, this would not be happening, so I had to order 'a la carte'. I actually paid more for this dubious pleasure than if I had taken a Suite! All you get for the extra money is: 1 drink, three pieces of laundry, some dried up and tired looking food, and a 'free mini bar!' Ah, I see that got your attention. Well, don't get too excited, as when I opened it, it contained..........2 BOTTLES OF WATER!!! I had to call the lounge, and they said they would come and stock it. They did! 1 can of Coke, a bottle of Milo and another bottle of water!! I have to say, the food in the hotel is very good, and the breakfast buffet, even though available in the Exec lounge, is much better, downstairs, and with a wider variety. I was informed that on checking out, I could do that from the lounge. However, when I tried to do this, I was told that staff would have to go to the main reception, to get my paperwork. That being the case, I just went there, myself! Would it have been too difficult to send this up, knowing that I was checking out that day? I would definitely stay here again, as I know that cleanliness of rooms is of a high standard, so when I return, I will go back to the suites, and give the Executive Floor a miss!
