Good quality and professionalism. At the center of Jakarta provides location, security and comfort with friendly, professional staff. Lower floors rooms are noisy from street traffic! Samuel, was especially helpful and friendly.
Location is excellent, staff is excellent, room size & layout is great, also very clean. Few things i don't like : 1. Safe location is bad, i dent my forehead into the wood when checking/using the safe (maybe management can add WARNING symbol on the sliding door), 2. No hand shower at shower room; also no jet spray or ecowasher. 3. Hotel is very cold, especially night/dawn even the room AC is off; 4. Pillow is too big yet too soft. 5. Breakfast selection is OK, chicken bacon is bad - suggest made-to-order original bacon station. Egg station however, is excellent.
Early this month I spend 3 days 2 nights at Le Meridien hotel in Jakarta. This is one neat & clean hotel regardless its old age. My kids had fun using the gym, spa & swimming pool facilities during the day. There are several restaurants and a bar in the lobby, just next to the outdoor pool side. They are great for hanging out with friends and family. I have great stay here!
Jakarta's hotels are known for their lavish Sunday brunches, which can often end up being fairly expensive if you partake in the free-flow alcohol packages. Le Meridien's brunch is a bit more modest and has a somewhat smaller selection of food than some other hotels. It does not have the glitz and glamour of some of the bigger hotels either; however, the food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. Food: They have the usual salad, cheese, bread sections, sushi, a pasta station and a range of local Indonesian dishes. They also have an area that focuses on Middle Eastern dishes and includes hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, dahl, etc. There is an additional outdoor grill area that has several types of fish and seafood on offer. Service: Our server, Leily, spoke English very well and was able to accommodate our every need without being overbearing in any way. There was a live band that was a little loud for us, so they quickly moved us to a different area that was a bit more private. The staff also let us know that they would do special orders if we had anything in mind that wasn't already available. For families, there is a good sized play area out in front of the restaurant as well. Overall, we had a fabulous time and only paid about half the price that other hotels charge. We made our reservation online and were able to receive a 20% discount on the bill for that. We also received 20% off for the food portion as we are SPG members, so this was a great deal. Considering how incredible the service was, we will be sure to return.
I loved almost everything about this hotel. The staff really make the place special, with their courteousness and greetings throughout the hotel. My room was large, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Unfortunately the traffic noise prevented me from giving the hotel a perfect score - perhaps this could be avoided by requesting a higher floor room. Breakfast was a feast for all nationalities. The gym was well appointed and staffed. High speed internet via wifi and ethernet. Well done Le Meridien Jakarta.
It's the little details that can make a huge difference when one is traveling for work, and Le Meridien gets all of these little conveniences right. Room was large and well decked out with huge windows, a couch, and a generous working desk (with nearby *universal* power outlets, so I didn't need an adapter here for my US and EU gadgets). Breakfasts (which are huge btw; the American breakfast could feed 2-3 people) can be delivered as early as 2AM (which I needed to do for a 4AM flight), and there are prepacked breakfast bags that you can grab at the lobby in case one is in a rush. There's an onsite online printing service, which means no more rummaging for a USB stick for those quick 2-pager documents. Laundry gets done in two shifts, so one can get them picked up in the evening to get them back by the following morning. Also liked that so many things can be done onsite: foreign exchange, ATM, post letters were the ones I ended up needing. Food is unsurprisingly on the pricy side, but hearty and delicious. Pool area is on the small side, but is sufficient for getting some laps done, and it didn't get very crowded while I was around. All in all a good experience with great amenities and fantastic staff. Given the very central location and the wide SPG rewards network, it's worth considering for business travel.
Good hotel very nice room and staff friendly with good english. Thanks to C.Anwar who got me the cab back to airport... very friendly.... remembered my name the whole stay and always smiling. Will stay again.
The room so are wonderful. The service excellent, and the restaurants on site have a good range of food offering including Middle Eastern, western, Japanese and, of course Indonesian. The food prices are reasonable. Getting around Jakarta can be a challenge with the traffic and congestion, but the concierge Andri was incredibly helpful. Had arranged transportation when I needed it and eased some of the stress of getting around.
The hotel was very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are more than helpful m, provide great service and a usual smile on my face and welcome with my name even dont know how as some of them was first time to meet. The hotel has good facilities Gym, sauna,...etc the pool is small but nice and good atmosphere in the around with many plants. They have different types of restaurants with good quality of food and varieties.
I have stayed here on many business trips and also for some R&R. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the food is high quality, but it's the greats team Le Meridien customer service always received that always brings me back. Thank you Mbak Ranti, Pak Andri and the the Dining team for always a fabulous stay and or fun dining experience.
