Stayed for 1 night on September 2017. Location is ok, not too far from city centre. Everything are just Ibis standard. Do not set a high hope of receiving more than that. Room is small (even for Ibis standard) but still ok. Breakfast is terrible. Extremely few options and not good either. Services and staff are very nice. Especially in the reception. Very fast check-in and check-out. Always talking with a smile and always try to be helpful. Swimming pool is quite large for Ibis standard. Overall, hotel is ok. Suites its price well. If you are in a business trip or planning to spend most time in the outs and just need a room to sleep, this hotel will suites you well.
Booked this hotel as it was my first ever trip alone and following over 24 hours of travel from the UK. Location: tricky to get to via foot. Take a taxi! Ensure you clarify which Ibis hotel as there are a few in Jakarta. It is approximately 1-2km away from Monas - monument in centre of Jakarta with points of interest like Mosques, churches and museums surrounding. A few convenience stores in walking distance. Be aware of busy roads. On arrival: welcomed to air conditioned hotel and check in was easy. I had arrived early and my room wasn't ready, however I was welcome to use the restaurant and pool. The hotel: very clean and cool following the polluted Jakarta area (very refreshing). Room was clean and had good facilities; double bed, TV, fridge, kettle, wardrobe, desk, western bathroom and AC. Wifi was good access. The room was cleaned everyday. Food: I booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was slightly disappointing with minimal options. The western option was simply bread (toast) and jam, and pastries (not the freshest). There was only ever maximum two fresh fruits to select from. The Ibis kitchen (restaurant) was open 24/7 and had someone attending it at all times. Food and drink was served promptly and good quality, but overpriced in comparison to local prices. I was disappointed on occasion when there was a buffet for dinner. This, again was overpriced, and there was little variety to choose from. Some options were not replenished so I was limited to what I could eat yet still charged the full price. Outside area: The pool was very big and clean with tables and seats to relax at. Very nice outside area with plants etc. Overall, a clean and pleasant stay, although food slightly disappointing. Staff spoke English, although slightly limited.
For three star hotel the breakfast menu friendly, especially for Indonesian people, since this stay for business purpose i don't catch up to use the business center and the hotel has large swimming pool for 3 star hotel, value for money, i will recommended to my friends and families
room prices very good breakfast is more expensive and mor adopted to asian eating habits.and not european. dinner offer has been the same for Three years and for longer stay that is not so good. showerdoor goes inward which is complicated
I stayed here 3 times and until recently all stays were very good. The hotel has large swimming pool, which is a plus point for me. I love their marble bathroom, which I rarely find in other ibis hotels, although it would have been better if they polish it again due to wear and tear. The breakfast and a la carte dinner are delicious, but the breakfast spread is limited. The normal a la carte dinner is overpriced, but they provides special menu of the day with more reasonable price. I just wonder why I never got welcome drink although I showed my silver Le Club card. Everything else is exactly what I expect from an ibis hotel. I believe this hotel exceeds average ibis hotel standard.
It is a very nice hotel. Good rooms, good food, nice atmosphere and I really enjoyed stay in here. It is located at the center of jakarta where we can enjoy short trip to any recreational and historical places. I would like to recomend my friends and families to stay in this hotel.
Staied with my wife as transit from surabaya to germany, the flight ti germany was around midnight so we decided to stay for a couple of days in Jakarta and make the best of our stay, the hotel is a little far from airport but better stay in city than near airport if you want to go around city. Very friendly and helpful staff, Quick check in and check out without complications. The bed so comfy and room is quite even being just behind the local railway track. If you getup early, the breakfast has a big variety but if you are late then you only get continental breakfast. The only -ve aspect is the bad internet connection, you get LAN in the room which is out dated, every one has smart phones or tablets to connect to internet, WiFi connection in rooms would be great, wifi is only available in lobby. Overall its a good to choose. Will stay again whe we visit Jakarta
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was cheap enough and the room was clean and tidy. The hotel had a decent pool. The restaurant was ok though had a limited menu. The main issue we had with the hotel was the transfers. On pick up the driver was late. The driver on return trip to airport dropped us off at wrong terminal!
Staying at the oldest accor property in Indonesia for over 25 years, you can tell this is an old building. Located just a few minutes away from Jakarta Cathedral, it certainly have the busy atmosphere around the hotel. Accorplus and elite status were never mentioned nor given any acknowledgement . Room is decorated few years back and now equipped with a flat screen tv and some new decor. Each room only give 2 towels, no floor towel or hand towel. No gym is a cons and need improvement Very limited and narrow underground parking Breakfast buffet have very limited option, no western option or eggs, except a toast and jam.
I would like to share experience in booking two rooms for my office people last month since I decided to stay at Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada during the same period of time. According to them, check-in was prompt and efficient and everything was in order during their stay. The hotel staff assigned the rooms in high floor (6th floor). Both rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and they had nothing to complaint about. This hotel is located within 15 minutes away from JIExpo in Kemayoran. Therefore, I really recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for quality, yet inexpensive, accommodation during their future visits in Jakarta.
