Arrived in Jakarta Soerkarno Hatta Terminal 3 Airport at 2.45pm via AA AK384.Flight arrived on schedule and baggage claim up to arrival at the hotel was very smooth. About 530pm we left the hotel to attend an event at Parong Bogor.Despite the driver being from Palembang and wazed us around, the traffic was so very kind to us.We arrived at destination within 2 hours which was still acceptable in Jakarta..We arrived back in the hotel past 1 40am.. Looked forward to breakfast as we did not eat much at the event the night before. The breakfast spread was really good..With salads and fruits to breads and scones to noodles and pecal and egg station and waffle and pancakes..loved them all.. First time in Santika and will be back here on our next visit.. Ibis Slipi - S.A.Y.O.N.A.R.A fr us😜
I always enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The hotel itself is not a new hotel, it is also not situated near the tourist object or mall or office, but the service that they provide was excellent. Room has stable fast wifi, which is good for someone duing some business stuff. Complete bathroom amenities, good air conditioner, spacious room etc, so the room is very ok for me Food was tasty and had wide selection from traditional Indonesian food, western, and asian (chinesse and japanese). I have stayed 3 times and in the future, there is no reason for me to not stay at this hotel often. Good job and keep this hard work Santika Slipi!
The hotel is located at "off street" with its own secluded entrance which is out of the usual hustle and bustle of Jakarta. Rooms are clean and of good size, breakfast was ample. Staff are as usual, courteous and helpful. If I so decide to have a quiet stay in Jakarta, I will come back to the property for sure.
I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights during a business trip. The hotel is located recessed from the a busy street. There are no nearby shopping centers but I was able to walk from the hotel to the Senayan Malls in 40 minutes. There are quite a few malls around the hotel that is close and takes about 10 to 15 minute taxi ride. The initial appearance of the hotel was impressive and grand. Check in was routine and reasonably fast. Service was excellent. Room is sizable and adequately adorned. Bed was comfortable. A few things that can be improved: size of TV set, no body lotion was supplied unless asked for, no face cloth provided (it magically appeared after I tipped the room cleaners 50,000 Rp). Hotel staff was friendly. Buffet breakfast was excellent although coffee quality can be improved. The free internet was spotty. The highest speed that I was able to achieve was about 3 MBps. But at times, The speed slowed to a crawl and is hardly usable probably due to other customers streaming videos or something. At this day and age, the speed can be and should be improved. I ended up using the data of my cell phone for connection to the internet. I will stay at this hotel again.
The rooms are spacious and functional but it looks tired. The staff are very friendly. Its one of those hotels where you cannot fault it but you would not come back. It just does not seem to quite work. For example its a buffet so you have to leave your seat to get food as you are away getting the next course the staff clear everything and you come back to see someone else sitting there. The food station today had lots of empty food trays. At the juice station the glasses are at calf level so you are always bending down next to someones leg to get a glass. This is what i mean by it works but not grest
i was in business trip to Jakarta. This hotel located in walk in distance to my office. Very convenient to reach CBD and other places. The room very spacious and clean. Good job by the room cleaners. The staffs in the Hotel are very polite and friendly. Smiley and greet every time see me. Well done. I prefer to stay again in Santika Hotel on my next trip to Jakarta.
This is a great hotel if you have to do business in the vicinity (west Jakarta) as we did. We stayed at Santiki five nights. The hotel is fairly upscale and has a tastefully decorated lobby/lounge/restaurant area. Since it was the Christmas holiday season, there were also festive holiday decorations throughout the hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean in the lobby/lounge/restaurants. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, and they spoke excellent English. They were able to help us with information and a number of other things. The other staff throughout the hotel (bellhops, security, housekeeping, gym) was exemplary, greeting us every time, smiling, and helping us whenever we needed help without having to ask. Our room was very clean and spacious with a nice view of the Slipi area of the city. The bed was very large and comfortable, pillows too soft for my taste, the linens of good quality. The room had a comfortable couch, a good-sized desk with a modern chair, flat screen TV, good WiFi (we had 3 devices and no problem), safe, refrigerator, quiet A/C and four bottles of water per day. I did not see a hair dryer, so you may have to request one if you need it. There was a hot water kettle, but no coffee or tea. These were minor things, and we could easily do without, but I think better housekeeping quality control should be maintained to make this hotel earn its 4 star rating. The bathroom had a lovely walk-in rain shower with good water pressure as well as a handheld shower. The toilet had a customary handheld sprayer instead of a built-in bidet. We did notice a mildewy odor emanating from the A/C duct inside the room which was at times quite strong. We could smell it in the hallway as well. Because of this, I did not give this hotel a 5 point rating. Buffet-style breakfast was included in the price, and we were very happy with the many choices of both Indonesian foods and international fare. It was entirely possible to eat a late breakfast and not having to eat for the rest of the day as there was so much to eat and to choose from. As vegetarians it is always more difficult for us to find foods that do not have animal products in them, but by carefully selecting our dishes, we were able to eat quite well. Although most of the Harmony restaurant staff was good, it seemed that on some days they neglected to check every table to see if the guests needed their coffee or tea cups refilled. We watched as some oblivious young waiter or waitress would walk by our table and not see our empty cups, but would refill the ones at the tables behind us. Flagging them down often did not work, so we ended up pouring our own refills. Sometimes the coffee and teapots at the station nearest us would be empty, and we would have to walk to the next coffee station. This lack of attention to detail should be addressed with restaurant management. We did not use the pool although it was beautiful and looked inviting. I used the work-out facilities, but was a bit disappointed with some of the equipment. Some of it had seen better days. There were three treadmills, but two were in disrepair so only one could be used. I did not use the other machines, but the loose weights were fine and appeared to be fairly new. The attendant was very helpful. There were usually three or four taxis waiting inside the hotel grounds, which was good since just about every destination requires a taxi ride. Keep in mind that during the afternoon rush hour there may not be a taxi available for a very long time. One late afternoon we waited almost 40 minutes for a taxi, and we finally gave up and decided to have dinner at the hotel.
I was on business trip to Jakarta with my staffs and as usual, we stayed at this Santika Hotel. Overall service was excellent, but I would like to mention one little annoying incident when we were about to have breakfast. On Friday morning, Dec 1, we went down to Harmony Restaurant where we were to have breakfast wearing sandals (the ones provided in by the hotel) as usual. When we were about to enter the restaurant, a staff named Tri, whose name I got from the other staff because she did not wear her name tag, stopped us and prohibited us from entering the restaurant. We asked why and she replied that was because we were wearing sandals. I have been a loyal customer of Santika Hotel since 2002, where I conducted my first business meeting in Jakarta and did not have problem with this sandals thing when having breakfast Tri said that there had been an incident at the restaurant where a customer broke a glass and hurt himself because he was wearing in-room sandals. So this is a new policy for every customer of the hotel to wear shoes or another sandals except the ones used in room. Sad to say that there were several couples allowed to enter the restaurant without any problem like us. When we asked why she did not stop them, Tri said that they had got the permission from the management to wear in-room sandals because they had problem with their feet. Hellloo...? If you want to make up story, please use logic and common sense. I said to Tri that during my last stay, I was ok with sandals to have breakfast. Tri finally confessed that this was a new policy enacted by the General Manager with the purpose to upgrade Santika Hotel to be just like international hotel. The way this staff handled us was not showing any standard of good hospitality. I certainly would happily follow this new rule or standard and I was sad because this staff of Santika Hotel was lacking of integrity, honesty, and care. Why should she lie if she could give a nice and proper explanation? I asked to talk to Duty Manager but there was NONE come to see us. It was very disappointing. After a bit of argument and commotion, finally we were allowed to have breakfast, but we lost our appetide already. One more thing, after this incident, there was no apology either from this staff or management. Hotel with international standard starts from the heart, not from setting a rule, and arguing with customers. Even if you win the argument, you will certainly lose the customers.
This hotel located in slipi Jakarta. Hotel offers you comfort large rooms and a excellent service. It has a beautiful large pool & bar service. Food was awesome as it is.in room dining gives it's best when ever you want.as per the below pictures you can get a better idea! Very good hospitality with excellent staff.
I booked and paid full through Agoda 30 minutes prior arrival. Unlike my previous experience in other 4 star chained hotel in Lampung which wasted my time for a booking I made months ago, the service here is excellent. Dita, the one who attended me, did not hesitate to give me the room I ordered after politely asked permission even to touch my cellular ( I itch to make comparison tutorial video to compare her and the snob in my prior review in another chain hotel). She efficiently consult with her peer after checking that my reservation email has not arrived yet from Agoda and in a helpful manner decided to make things easier for me. Now that is hospitality. Eventhough the hotel was quite packed and full of events. Service are excellent from there. Helpful and full of smile security guard will step forward to lend you their hands if they caught you needing one. Staffs who attended my table was attentive and catered our needs and genuinely cared for my children. Breakfast is excellent. You will find different tasty local cuisine in each Santika branches, one of the thing I look forward each time I stay here. The taste is consistently good. Wifi is fast and easy. Once you are connected with your room wifi, you can get the signal everywhere except swimming pool. I watched you tube without lag. Check out is no sweat either. Got my Santika Flazz card for accepting the offer to apply for Santika membership. What you can find nearby: Pelni Hospital on walking distance if you need emergency visit, hopefully not. Sinbad middle east restaurant, recommended for the lamb kebuli or biryani rice, kebab, and refreshing moroccan mint tea. Sederhana Padangnese Restaurant: well, go look up nasi padang with notorius song created by its norwegian fan, and absolutely must try rendang. Many convenience store in walking distance like indomaret or alfa mart to buy your snack. Mall nearby is central park or taman anggrek, about 30 minutes cab, or you can contact front desk, they have transportation service too.
