The location is awesome, next to (and attached to) Grand Indonesia mall. The room was spacious, but a little bit too many mirrors for my taste. I was staring at myself everywhere I turned. I was put on the second floor, which was not what I would have preferred. The room did not have much of a view unless you like looking at the inside of a department store. Honestly, this is a very nice hotel. But I was comparing with the Mandarin Oriental across the street and the Ritz Carlton where these two hotels have much more spacious room. Luckily this time I only had to be there for three days. If I had to stay for more than a week, I think I would still prefer the Mandarin. The view from the gym was fantastic. Breakfast was also excellent. And big thanks to the front desk person. My flight arrived very early at 5am in the morning, and he let me check in without charging me extra. Now, this is service!
The team at the club lounge are the nicest and most attentive among all the hotels I have stayed. Many thanks especially to Ari Petrus who are super helpful and goes above and beyond all expectations. I look forward to staying again.
Kempinsky is an ideal accommodation for a business traveler. The service is impeccably courteous and they are quick to troubleshoot should any inconvenience arise. I cannot get enough of their top notch facilities, my favourites being the outdoor whirlpool and sauna. The breakfast spread is a plethora of Asian and Continental cuisines, one would be spoilt for choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the service at their Executive Lounge. A special mention to Pak Mansyur for being very discerning to my needs.
the room was excellent with an amazing view. Breakfast has a wide variety of selection and deliciously crafted. A very good service and lovely staff. Love the jacuzzi and the sauna, however the steam room and swimming pool can be improved though. Definitely recommended to stay, especially in the room looking at the Bunderan HI.
Its vey great stay for my fiance birthday celebration. many thanks to Mr. Michael Widjaja and team. I will come back to stay in Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta in the near future. I and my fiance are happy to stay here
Love the spacious room. Comfy king size bed. Good and friendly service / staff. Only one tiny peeve - the master light control is at the door. Not possible to have certain lights on even the reading light. It's either all or nothing. For reading it's just the lamp next to the lounge chair or desk light. Most convenient access to the mall and also my office (5 min away).
The staff at the Kempinski in Jakarta are truly some of the nicest I've ever encountered. They always remembered my name, asked how I was, and checked on me. They were also always willing to assist when I need and were so thorough. They were such a pleasure to welcome me to the hotel every day (I was there for 3 weeks, so it was like a home!) the rooms are also really nice -- great space, especially the bathrooms! Each day, the housekeeper kindle organized my room for me, which was such a nice gesture and went above and beyond.
I've just returned from a lovely 5 night stay at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski and I wish it had been longer. My expectations were set pretty high after the excellent airport limo pickup service and in-room checkin and tour of how the room features worked. The room itself was nicely appointed and large, with a beautiful travertine bathroom including a deep tub that I didn't get time to use. The cleaning and turndown service was impeccable. Location wise, it's dead centre in Central Jakarta and I found just uttering the word Kempinski (I don't speak any Bahasa) was enough for any taxi driver to take me back. I think the highlight is the staff though, without exception every concierge, maintenance worker, cleaner, room service waiter and security person greeted us with a warm smile. Special mention to the paramedic on duty last week as I was unfortunate enough to be unwell, and I was better looked after here than I would have been at home. Overall, a fabulous hotel (I can see why my local clients insisted I stay here) and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else on future trips to Jakarta.
It's the first time for my wife and I staying at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Hotel. The good: 1) Service staff are friendly; check in process was a breeze; asked for an early check in and we got our room at 11am 2) There's a direct access from the hotel to Grand Indonesia - probably the largest mall in Jakarta. 3) The room is well furnished ; we took the standard deluxe room and it's very spacious for both of us. 4) The toilet is nicely decorated with an art of the state toilet bowl :) The not-so-good: 1) The room isn't well sound-insulated; I could hear footsteps and when guests shut their room door too loudly. 2) the room door lock is faulty; it couldn't latch properly. It's HORRIBLE: 1) The breakfast place - Signature Restaurant. I don't know if it's the long weekends; but the place is way too overcrowded. We had to join a queue (!!)before we were ushered to our table. To the credit of the service crew, they did try to swat all guests as fast as they could. The food is tasteless and atrocious. The food isn't replenished timely. The whole ambience of the breakfast place is too noisy for me. I felt like I am in the middle of a wet market!
Excellent service from lady in red, Novita, for our special request! Loved the most convenient location - connected to shopping mall. 2nd time here and still yet to try award wining spa massage due to lack of therapists. It was fully booked yet again! :( Will definitely be back!! :) Thank you all staff for making our stay a most enjoyable one!
