They shutdown elevator to save electricity I was stuck at 8th floor I had to call to get help 4:30am to catch flight to HongKong. They told me late at night or early morning they shutdown elevator. This is illegal and unacceptable. I will report to Holiday Inn in the US. Also floor was wet due to roof leaking. They did not fix since last year I came in the same area was leaking. Lastly they will not print me the invoice with the reason I booked thru Expedia 3rd party. I will not stay at this hotel anymore because they are not Holiday inn quality.

The property is old and dirty. Front desk is surrounded by luggages like warehouse. Noisy and unorganized. Towels are dirty. Rest room is super small and floor is getting wet because no door to close when taking shower. The elevator is fast. Carpet is dirty. Staffs are polite and nice. This is not Holiday Inn Express like we know in the US.

Affordable accommodation but poor maintenance. Towels look dirty, room has a musty odour, everything in the room looks old and needed renovation and upgrading. Not sure if the hotel centrally controls the aircon temperature due to sustainability effort, my room aircon was not conducive even when I adjusted to a minimum temperature. Breakfast area seemed under-staffed. Tables were left uncleared, food not replenished on time and coffee machines are perpetually having problems. I used to love Holiday Inn Express for its value for money stay but this one at Pluit has been poorly maintained. My 3 nights stay was not enjoyable.

It’s only convenient because it’s connecting Mall

Air conditioning is not too cold for us. First night in the room the bed sheets is a bit sticky. I don’t know if the hotel stuff replaced wit the new one or not. However we ask to change the room and make sure they replace the sheet with the new one.

Great location, just 1min walk to Emporium Mall. Rooms look fairly newly furnished, spacious, clean n good housekeeping. The breakfast has a wide range of delicipus hot Indo foods (the widest for any Holiday Inn Express i have stayed).

Can housekeeper clean your room with permission?

Had bad experience with this hotel for first time. Just head down for breakfast, less than hour, there is a housekeeper clean my room. What surprised me, I did not left door tag to ask housekeeper to clean my room. The housekeeper claim he knock and follow company policy. I feel not safe, what if I’m sleeping, in shower, the housekeeper could just open the door? I feel this is not right and I don’t feel safe. I have left my personal belonging left in room on the table, and housekeeper could just open your room door without any permission given.

Upper floors of shopping mall building in interesting part of the city. Friendly helpful staff, especially at reception and at breakfast. Big windows in room for view over city. Comfortable bed, good wifi, good shower. Breakfast was good here, lots of choice and efficient staff.
