I have stayed for a week in this hotel during my business trip to Jakarta and my first impression when I entered the room is that it is a comfortable place to rest. The room was spacious and a working desk was provided as well as a lounging place near the window. Bathroom is clean and spacious also, with a glass wall beside the hot tub, I can watch TV while dipping in warm soapy water. The breakfast buffet in this hotel is great. There is a wide array of food to choose from and I have seen variety during my entire stay. I will definitely come back to this place.

Here we are, about hotel step by step: GENERAL DESCRIPTION. Overall - very good experience and pleasant stay. The level of their service is REALLY SUPER HIGH! Everyone is very polite and very very welcome, sometimes I thought they want to kiss my feet))) HOTEL ITSELF. Hotel is an old one but very good maintained. Decorations, flowers, palms....all quite impressive) Have quite a number of places to take photos. I haven't really liked the smell in the corridors....like my UK grandma house (but not in rooms). RECEPTION. Just what you need - fast and welcome check-in/check-out. Every time I was calling they call my by my name, that was very agreeable. ROOM. Room was really spacious with sofa (3 or even 4 seater sofa) nice big and comfortable bed, bath tub, separate shower cabin, separated toilet with bidet (!). BREAKFAST. Here is not everything is so smooth from my point of view. Lets see: - Advantages: good variety of serials, local (Indonesian) and Asian food, pastry, good cheese choice, even guacamole, good choice of juice and one type of smoothie (changing every day), restaurant is with a nice view and "invisible personnel". - Disadvantages: Does 5 star hotel should have smoked/fresh salmon? I haven't found it. Also haven't found appropriate Western taste fish and other food, just got fresh salad, egg....very standard. What i really DISLIKE is that in that high service class hotel every time I go to breakfast (it was not prepaid but they had my deposit) they ask me to sign the bill IN THE MIDDLE OF MY FOOD ENJOYING.....Can't you wait until I finish? It was really uncomfortable to sign the bill on the knees or on the plate with food.....this was disappointing thing. ROOM SERVICE. FANTASTIC (!), nothing to argue. In-room dining was hot, tasty and quite fast cooked and delivered.

Very nice personnel at Red level Lounge. It is nice to spend time there in the evenings along with some snacks and beverages. Rooms are nice and clean, and the atmosphere in the hotel is very good. Good Overall Impression.

everything was excellent and above expectation. the only negative thing we experience is the A/C wasnt very cold in during the morning/daytime even though it was set to be the coldest (18 degree C). we did not report it because we only stayed for one night and stated outside the room most of morning/day.

The entrance of the Gran Melia sets the expectations - large, soaring spaces reaching above your head, with a gentle sounds of water tinkling in the background. Yes, no doubt the architecture is in the 70s, but it is still an impressive start to the day. Rooms were very spacious (was in the premium room), with a daybed next to the window, and blackout blinds and a second blind to reduce glare. The only downside was that the rainfall shower was not working (the knob was loose) and the wardrobe light stayed permanently on, whether the door was closed or not. Breakfast was nice, with offerings from across the world (Indian, Indonesian, bakery, yoghurt). Overall the experience was very positive, marred just by the couple of glitches in the room.

ive stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and it was in red level i was very satisfied with the service & all of the facilities were great. i had problem with tge room but everything solved quickly. they are all so nice! love to stay there feel like second home tho.

Had a three night stay over business. Indeed grand if the first part of the name relates to it by any means. Friendly staff, super clean and well located within the city. Real value for money. The food is very good but given the wide variety of culinary talents in the country the hotel could offer more on those lines, something that visitors from outside yearns for. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone.

Special thanks goes to Pak Doni at Red Level for the excellent, superb service at the lounge. The very thoughtful and caring feeling of the clients is extra ordinary. You make it worth staying longer! :)

This hotel may not look massive from outside but it is so spacious internally. The main lobby is located at a level above ground. Security checks were strictly enforced with bags and body scanner. We were escorted to the check in counter by the friendly staff. Check in was done swiftly and we got upgraded. The room is very spacious and well equipped. Love the bathroom as well where they have dedicated bidet.Bed was comfy. They have varieties of dishes for buffet breakfast and i love the pastries and cheese selections. For cooked food the taste could have been better. One thing to note is the location is in the central business district of Jakarta and gridlock is everywhere during rush hours so you have to plan your journey well.A solid 4 or 4.5 stars hotel for me and they do need to refurbish the hotel is the near future to keep up with the competitions

Has good facilities, pool, spa, fitness, praying room, restaurants n shops... nice staffs during check in and check out, good location..not far from offuce buildings and malls/shopping centers, good food for breakfast buffet..
