Be prepared for the last 5km of road into the country, we thought we were lost until we arrived at this amazing place. We are talking world class hospitality, food and service along with rooms the size of decent bungalows . Special mention of Vikash,Bragati and Renu & Dyna at the excellent spa. In all a truly special place for a break from the vibrancy and pace of the big cities.
We leave here today with a heavy heart, so sorry to leave this wonderful place. The ambiance is so peaceful, the hospitality genuine, the food excellent and the accommodation superb. This is the ideal escape from the chaos of India, a chaos which we love but which can be exhausting! We have stayed in some top class places but this ranks with the best of them. Thank you for allowing us to make some wonderful memories to mark 40yrs of marriage. :)
We included this as a down day on our 12 day tour of India. We were so glad we did. In fact, we wish we had stayed here for our whole time in Jaipur. The staff was super nice. The room (or what I would call a villa) was amazing!!! So much space! It felt like we had our own house. Well, because we did. The villa had a living room, bedroom, and huge bathroom. The best part was the private pool right outside your back door. We were only here a night, although I wish it had been longer. Before dinner the chef came to our villa to go over what we wanted from the menu. They had even typed up a private menu for us that was completely interchangable. Dinner was very yummy as was breakfast the next morning as well. It was a great experience!
We came in at 3 pm today and it is not even 5 pm yet, i have already been told that a property of such size doesn't have or is able to provide a flip chart /white board or decent markers. Now we came hare to relax and plan strategise for our company. Am not expecting a business centre feel but a white bioard????. What kind of a property deosnt have something as basic as that.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this resort. The staff was courteous and helpful, my villa was clean with all amenities, the food/dining experience was wonderful, and the property was simply breathtaking. I recommend this place 100%.
We have spent 3 nights at the resort in villa with pool (plunge pool). The villa consists of a spacious livingroom, a large bedroom, a large bathroom and a garden with plunge pool (refreshing temperature and not ice cold), outdoor shower, whirlpool and 2 massage tables (and not beds, as it was stated in another review). Everything was well maintained and did not leave room for any complaints, apart from not having enough powersockets for western plugs. Also, contrary to what has been stated in another review, we've never had to order hot water in advance, it was just there, whenever we have opened the tap. The staff was very friendly and if you had an issue / question it was immediately taken care of. We have decided against having dinner in our villa and have chosen the restaurant. Dinner was "planned" together with the Chef in the late afternoon. We could either choose a complete menue or only some courses (which then also reduced the price). Food was always delicious, at least I liked it a lot, and food and drinks were also cheaper than in other up-scale hotels during our trip but of course significantly more expensive than in a regular restaurant in the city. But this is no suprise, if you have dinner in a hotel. The way from the villas to the restaurant should not take more than 3-5 mins, but if you are handicapped, you should check with the Resort first, since most of the villas are only reachable via stairs (no lift) Even though the resort is in a remote area, you can reach Jaipur by car in 30-40 mins, if you feel like it. Should I ever come back to Jaipur, this would be for me the place to stay
it was one of the most quiet, peaceful & fantastic experience to have complete Me time.. listening to birds chirping, no disturbance.. exactly have people to help you when needed and best of all fresh customised personal food option to suit your mood. it was special and vvip treatment at resort. staying in city we are used to always surrounded by people but this is THE place to be yourself in your own private space. would love to visit all their properties.. not for people who want lot of activity and ppl around them.
Excellent property with spacious rooms and exterior. Good food and great ambience. The food was also very good and there are plenty of open areas. The only dampener in the whole stay was that a snake (small sized) entered our room in the late evening. Believe it is the first instance such a thing has happened at the resort, but nevertheless it was disturbing. The staff was very prompt to respond to our call on this, and also checked the room thoroughly to ensure everything was OK for us to sleep in the night. Overall, a great resort with some really courteous staff.
This was our first trip to this beautiful resort. We travel to India for business each year and usually stay at the Fairmont, which we like. This trip we decided to stay at the "tree of life". This is our new home when traveling to India. We have had the privilege of staying at many of worlds top resorts and this place of tranquility and beauty is now on the top of our list. We would rise each morning and practice Yoga in the magical open air yoga studio and then have the most perfect breakfast.. While walking through the lovely grounds with the beautiful melodies singing across the hillside. This property is magical. If you love calm and meditation and kindness from all who work here then this the place for you. The chef is incredible making me my favorite Indian vegetarian food each night. We were greeted each morning with a warm smile and farewelled each evening with the same warm smile. The team here are in harmony with their surrounds and strive to make each day perfect.. My only complaint is this..... I have to wait until next year to return...and return we shall. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable. the rooms are spotless and very well maintained and you feel very safe. Sadly I know I am going to forget to mention the incredible team Surentra - the restaurant manger who will make everything perfect the incredible executive chef who will create beautiful Indian food just for you! Pragati Tyagi Vijaya Rashpal Thank you all so much for taking such incredible care of us after working each day in Jaipur. We look forward to seeing you all in 2018 Le-Arne
You need to be clear as to why you wish to visit the Tree of Life Resort. It is not a party place nor is it a place to outsource the kids to the nannies/kids club for a long weekend. It’s a place meant for grown ups who wish to enjoy some downtime from the usual treadmill of life. It’s quiet and relaxing. And if you have kids who scream at the top of their lungs then you will get the looks from the other guests - because your kids will be the only ones that the others would hear. Our teenaged daughters did well with their books, iPads, time at the pool and walking our pet dog across the property chatting amongst themselves and with us. It’s not a ‘touch your feet at the drop of a hat’ service of the Oberoi Group of Hotels but it’s just enough to find someone when you need them. There are no buffets - neither for breakfast nor any other meal. It’s a la carte with a reasonable spread of well prepared food served during fixed hours of the day. So, if you spend a night doing what you choose to do, make sure you order your breakfast before 10 am....or the dinner by 10.30 pm. Tea, coffee and beverages are served 24x7, I suspect, but we did not test that capability. What they serve is well made and to look forward to. The rooms are like a really well kept modern home - large, well lit and properly air conditioned. Housekeeping is likely to meet the benchmark of most well heeled traveler. The gym is limited in scope - but good enough for a decent cardio session. Did not try the spa. Overall, a property that we’d love to go back to for 3 or 4 nights of downtime. We got what we hoped or expected.
