65+ Exchange Welcome
Second stay here this time instead of with my nana and boyfriend it was a couples getaway. This needs to be advertised as a 65+ exchange hotel. I had done a pre check in to make the process quicker only to have them need a conversation in the back. No communication as to reason why, before assisting an elderly couple that had walked up needing a shuttle to a restaurant, prior to administering our keys. It was almost as though they weren’t used to anyone under 45 checking in, like we shouldn’t be there?? We gave the families with kids their time and space at the pool and intended on enjoying a traditional couples relax by their pool and hot tub later on in the evening. Only to find that the hot tub had been occupied by a single male for over an hour. Keep in mind when we walked over the 2nd time another couple looked like they were waiting awkwardly in the shallow end of the pool. While we dipped our ft in the deep in contemplating the same situation the other couple was obvs having the group of elderly wine drinkers by the fire walked in behind the front desk staff at 830p and all got in the hot tub. As we walked out we passed another couple the same age with the man literally backing up to the scene as a gave the woman a disappointed passing glance.

Front desk staff was very nice and helpful, room is great, location a short walk to the beach, restaurants abound. A shuttle bus is available to take you anywhere you want to go on the island. A broken iron was replaced upon request. Very quiet within the hotel. Price was reasonable for high season. All in all an enjoyable experience.

One of our best vacation experiences.
We had a wonderful stay. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The room was comfortable and facilities were great. Access to a long nature trail was a nice surprise. Our little dog loved it too. Close enough to beach to walk in just a few minutes. The entire staff were friendly, accommodating and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Desk staff made great effort to welcome us and our little dog. The breakfasts were excellent and varied and the breakfast staff were efficient and helpful. They moved seamlessly even at the most crowded times. Everything was well stocked. The young woman who appeared to be the manager of the breakfast room (I am sorry we did not catch her name) was super efficient & friendly. All of breakfast workers were great and made us feel at home. Although it is probably not necessary to mention individuals, a young man, Jeremy, was a particular standout. A wonderful week at Residence Inn at Amelia Island!

Nice place except tv service
Great place but they use Dish for tv service who dropped the contract with Fox. As such I had to walk to a local bar to watch the NFC championship game. Sat at the smoke filled bar next to a drug dealer. Not the experience I hoped for when I booked the place. May be time to switch tv providers.

Sheets not changed between guests. Not returning
Suite was a good size however the cleaning staff does not clean or change the sheets between guests. I am allergic to dogs and when I got into bed I immediately broke out into hives and my face swelled up. I knew a dog had been in the bed and the sheets hadn’t been changed. So my first night there was miserable. The fact that a dog was in the room prior to our arrival was confirmed by the front desk. When I complained the next morning (as it was too late at night) was taken care of sheets changed and part of the room cleaned. Winter was great when checking us in and in rectifying the situation the best she could. It shouldn’t be an issue in the first place. Cleaning a room and changing sheets between guests should be a basic standard. The breakfast staff with the exception of one grumpy older lady and a girl who barely spoke English were great and welcoming. All the rest were super friendly and accommodating. Wouldn’t stay here again
