This two bedroom, two bath has been recently updated with new flooring and kitchen countertops. But, you won't be inside much because the beach is only about 100 feet away. The house also has a nice, fenced-in front porch perfect for catching some sun during the day or listening to the waves and feeling the sea breeze at night. There are also several beach bars and restaurants within an easy 10-15 walk including The Surf, Sliders, Hammerheads, and V Pizza. The large living room is open to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances. The master bed room is also large with plenty of space for cloths and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has plenty of sleeping space with a double bed and twin day bed. Plenty of parking in the back.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Excellent location. A short 2 minute walk to the ocean. Kinda midpoint on the island, so halfway before Ft Clinch state park to the north and Amelia Is State park to the south. Owners were very responsive to any needs. (live next door) Certainly not upscale, nothing fancy about the interior but suited our needs just fine.

Slightly surprised that it was a traditional keyed lock, the house was clean but slightly dated in some areas. Location is great for the beach. Fenced in area is small, was hard for my older dog.

Loved the location very close to beach and restaurants:) Jerry was great he took care of our every need. Cottage was very clean and organized. Loved being able to have our German Shepherd Rose, staying there with us, so many places have ( silly) weight requirements. Would definitely stay there again!

Just beach

If you like to spend time on a beach, its perfect for you, its just a short walk.The house needs some improvements. Fence needs big improvements, its falling apart. Wooden steps outside are constantly wet and slippery, they dont have a gutter downspouts and all water from rain is going down on entrance steps.There is a grill but no propane tank, i was told that it will be provided but it never happened. Air-conditioning filter has to be changed the dust stacked from outside and its very noticeable. I was told that it will get changed but it never happened. Master bedroom toilet was running and making loud noises, we fixed the problem ourselves. My biggest problem was that there were no outlets in any of bathrooms. If you need to shave with electric, use waterflash for your teeth, do your hair, etc . you are out of luck.There was plenty of toilet paper but we just had half roll of paper towels. We had ants in smaller bathroom.

Awesome location to the beach! Awesome neighborhood! The city offered limited food restaurants and additional activities. With the limited activities, I would suggest an upgrade for TVs and selections for local TV. We had a ball and I would recommend and come back again.

Great location on a great beach!

Super price for a super location! The house isn’t fancy, but it has all you need for a great vacation. We had two teenagers with us & felt safe letting them ride bikes to restaurants or walk anywhere. Jerry, the host, is fantastic. For the price, you can’t beat it! We will stay here again! Beach is less than 100 ft away!

Great location but needs TLC

This cottage was found clean and for the most part comfort. The king size mattress is supportive and there are new kitchen appliances although a few burners did not work. Lots of hot water. The real problem is with the foundation that is cracked causing the back floors to be uneven. Additionally, the outside fenced area for our pup is rough with a rotting wood fence that could be easily blown over with a strong wind. The area along side of the house needs a serious clean up. We can see where the owner attempted to make improvements and as past rental property owners we can recognize his efforts but there are areas that need attention, the problem area with the foundation being a serious issue. Not sure what can be done there. Other problems were several of the windows have cracks and the screens are ripped. Unacceptable. The location was amazing which made up for less then a desirable accommodation. The beach is vast and an easy walk. The historic area has many restaurants and shops and we enjoyed exploring. Amelia Island surprised us with much to do even in January.

Amazing Hosts

Jerry and Lauren were extremely welcoming and very responsive to our needs and questions. We traveled with our two dogs, and loved that there was a fenced in area so we could let them off leash. The house is located across the street from the beach making it convenient to go to the beach multiple times per day. The house was well stocked with items you need, and it may have been the cleanest property we have ever rented.

Perfect Month Away

This house is in such a great location. Easy walks to the beach, easy access to amenities and downtown. And the home was lovely. At times, we had 4 adults and 3 kids, but it never felt crowded. It’s an older home, and we enjoyed the charm. Jerry was wonderful with communication. We spent a month here, and it was incredible from beginning to end. We definitely hope to go back.

Spectacular location & very responsive host

This property is a one minute walk to the beach. There is traffic noise in the living room, but the traffic cannot be heard in the bedroom. Jerry is very kind and responds quickly to questions. We stayed for a month with our 2 dogs.

A beautiful month on the Florida beach

We are very familiar with Amelia Island and the Fernandina Beach area. Jerry’s location is 2 minutes from the beach for some beautiful sunrises, beach lounging and dog walking. For folks unfamiliar with the area, a guide for good restaurants and things to do (bike/hiking/kayak rentals and just sight-seeing possibilities in general would be helpful, but these are things we didn’t need.). Jerry and Lauren were very respectful of privacy, even though they live next door. We would definitely consider renting again.
