Location is everything, and this property has it. Right on the lake with a boat dock and two jet ski ports, room to lounge around outside during the day, including a screened upper deck with comfy furnishings for buggy nights. The cabin was also very clean overall and stocked with everything you need, including mini fridges on the porch and at the dock.That said, this home in any other location would be two-three stars. The AC did not adequately cool the upstairs bedrooms, and attempts to improve it made the downstairs unlivable. Bath towels not provided. Old, rusty kitchen appliances; no dishwasher; no regular coffee pot; the kitchen is a hodgepodge of dilapidated cookware (flaking Teflon), stained towels, worn-out accessories, plastic dinner plates, and cups. The pillows/mattresses are not encased in protective covers, so they were heavily stained. Discarding about half the household items would greatly improve the property. The listing is a bit unclear, but upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a queen bunk in the hallway. The upper bunk has a sign that the limit is 200 lbs, fine for 8 people if 2-4 of your party are kids. There is also a 1/2 bath upstairs. I gave the property 5 stars for its location. We had a nice time. But we didn't feel it was worth the price compared to other VRBOs at the same price point.
