HOTELS.COM are Misleading information and poor guest handling I booked Best Western Hotel Izmir through Hotels.com because it was clearly advertised as including free breakfast, which was an important factor for my family. Upon arrival at breakfast, we were told by the staff that we had no breakfast included, without any courtesy or explanation. The breakfast area itself was extremely basic, poorly presented, and nothing was labeled. This is far below what is expected from a 4-star hotel. When I contacted reception, I was told bluntly that the hotel does not offer breakfast and that they are not responsible for how Hotels.com sells the package. Hotels.com later confirmed that breakfast was indeed included in my booking and contacted the hotel. The hotel staff admitted this is a recurring issue and that Hotels.com does not update the description. This means guests are repeatedly misled. Additional problems during the stay: • Strong cigarette smell in a non-smoking room • Shower in very poor condition • Loud music from rooftop events until after midnight • Staff are polite but clearly undertrained for hospitality standards This situation ruined part of our vacation. Selling a service that is not delivered and refusing responsibility is unacceptable. I would not have chosen this hotel without the promise of breakfast. Travelers deserve transparency and respect.

The location is a little sketchy. The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Nicer place, just not the best location… it is close to the highway and the metro station making it easy to get to and from. The spa has the most amazing staff. They would be the reason I returned to this hotel.

Very nice stay

Rooms are nice and a good breakfast. Parking is a bit difficult as there are a limited number of spaces (maybe 8) in front of the hotel but they will guide you to another site. Very nice reception and I highly recommend the scrub in the spa!

Awful stay at Mitte port

That was the most terrible experience. The hotel is very noisy, a/c switching off every hour and need manual reset, unpleasant smell of mold in the room, too small lifts not enabling moving with suitcases, breakfast was very poor and limited, very unfriendly staff, and awful same background music all the time. We stayed 2 families and another family had the same problems. So it was not the one room but the whole hotel issue. So we had to move to another hotel after one night stay and the hotel have not returned our money for the rest 2 nights we paid.

Very nice staff except the manager of the hotel. I’ve never seen any hotel manager that rude and unprofessional. I’m very sorry for the nice staff who has to work with him.

Staff & property were relatively nice. Breakfast was really good and opens fairly early compared to what they advertise. Room was decently sized/ beds super comfy but room wasn't super clean and there was an opened bottle of water in the mini fridge from previous guest(s). Staff was more than happy to replace it and apologized. My only real complaints were that the hotel's spa services were disappointing as the masseuse was not there at the time the property said the spa opened. We waited 30 minutes and they still hadn't arrived so we decided against using the spa.
