Centrally located in the old city of Fribourg! Accommodating w/early check in and kept my bag for me after i checked out seamlessly. They provide water/coffee in lobby for guests. It was in a safe neighborhood.
The hotel doesn't provide an easy access to handicap people or ramp for taking the luggage to the lobby and no help to bring the luggage to the car. Bathtub, like most European hotels you must be an acrobat to enter and exit without the help of grabrail.. Reception staff was very helpful
Terrific location for someone wanting to be near the Old Town area of Freiburg-- lots of sights, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. Train station only a 15-20 minute walk. Comfortable for the traveler who wants comfort for sleeping and bathing, but who spends most of their time out and about. Unbelievably large bathroom for an upgraded (at no charge) economy room!
A cosy and historic hotel in a very traditional Alp-style. Nothing bad to say on the hotels quality, service, amenities, but it is average or slightly above. it just requires so much more to be a 4. star hotel. And to charge 20 SFC for a breakfast, which is not even hot is certainly not smart.
I got a good rate and the hotel matched my expectations. I would consider this a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star.
Everything was fine. We were in a very good location and the staff was excellent. The room very nice and clean. I must say though the breakfast could have been a bit more regional. I would have liked to tried Fribourg specialties that other hotels offer. Two and a half stars of 4.
