This weekend wife and me decided to treat ourselves with a wellness delight... We stayed at the hotel for two nights and overall is that we will come back for sure... Firat thing that was strange, but at the end it was pretty good, that the hotel is "adult only"... So who want's something like this it's great. Staff, rooms, ambient and offer is great... Breakfast and dinner buffet is more then anyone can consume :).... From fish, meat, salads, home made dishes, fruit etc... Thanks for everything...
Stayed for 2 nights. We had superior room with “sea view”; actually it was garden view on pines tries, support facilities and swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner were decent but far away form 5 stars hotel (big room for improvement) Spa center is preparty small and most of the time overcrowded. Stuff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel Coral is a bit out from Umag in Katoro district, some 4km from town. Sorroundings is nice with several hotels around. Coral it self is meant for adults only, 16 years minimum to check in. So it is no children running around lobby and in breakfast and dinner area. Hotel is very clean and has a nice SPA are with classic Bio (Finland) sauna and Turkish bath. Indoor pool is small, but nice, very clean. Rooms are big enough, classic-nothing special. Staff was very friendly. Meals: dinner was OK with big varaity of different meals to chose. Breakfast was great, with different kind of eggs, even omlet made specially for guest in front of you is possible. A lot of cheese, salami, bread of different kinds. Tea, coffee and several juices. A very unpleasant experience was music played during dinner time...some modern style which is totally failure for location and occasion. We left dinner early, because of music which was kind of headache trigger. Spoke to staff, but it is programmed by managing company of Sol. They was really terrible.
We have just spent two days in this hotel. It was not bad but I must say it is far from a 5- star hotel. I have stayed in a few Croatian and Slovenian 5- star hotels and there are too many things this hotel lacks to be what it claims to be. The room itself was clean and comfortable but pretty basic, plumbing poor. Breakfast was OK but not WOW (as you would expect), the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable, by the way. Wellness area could also be better, not enough showers and those that are there not working very well. The pool is lovely! The only thing that is 5- star is the service, the staff is really helpful and friendly!
Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful spa offering a wide range of treatments. Very nice indoor pool. Visited at the end of the season, so rather isolated. Nothing around this hotel. Little train to town of Umag runs infrequently in October.
Doesn't deserve 5 star ranking. I'm very disappointed with sauna and spa area. Water is not warm enogh. If you want to get cold or flue you have a good chance. Atmospere is poor. People are constantly complaining about cold water but in tree days it didn't improve and today even both saunas are not warm enough. They obviously have electricity supply problem or just terible management. To be fair food is very good.
Just return from this place, what can I say... This is not hotel 5*,if u compare with realy 5* hotels, as Lone or Iadera falkensteiner, this is hotel 3 *... Ok, rooms are big inaf, hotel lobby is realy nice and functional but all hotel nead updating at all, its doesent look fresh and modern... Hotel stuff is nice and polaid, not all, but mrs Sladjana on rec. And mrs Gaja on front desk are very very nice and friendly... BUT THE BIGGIEST PROBLEM IS RESTAURANT AND FOOD... FOOD IS LIKE 2-3STARR HOTEL, NOT TASTY, POOR AND NOT SERVED NICE... this is reason that I think i fon want 2 come back... Sorry but food is very importent, specialy in 5*hotel...
Unfortunately, after beeing here three years ago and were thrilled with spa and wellness, now are very disappointed. Time had left a lot of traces and although hotel is stll acceptable for stay, we cannot recommend Spa to anybody. The best in this hotel is staff! Those nice people are doing their best to make stay pleasant. Frankly, only staff here deserves five star. Hotel by itself not any more. 😣
I went to the Melia Coral for a week at the beginning of October with my husband. The room was good, breakfast was lovely and the pool area and spa are great. The staff are also all helpful and friendly. We found that most of Umag and bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel had closed for the season on 1st October, which was disappointing as we like to eat out. If you are happy to be completely hotel based for the week and take half board this is a good choice. I am sure this is a bustling area in high season, but it is extremely quiet at this time of year.
We traveled to this hotel earlier this month for my wife's birthday. I booked the hotel on line and found the process very easy, the price competitive and the whole experience very simple. The hotel is a bit of a journey from the nearest airport, but we hired a car and had the freedom to travel to different parts of Croatia. The hotel car park was free of charge. On arrival we were checked in, and made very welcome. We were allocated a room with a sea view, it was clean, large enough to walk around without tripping over anything, and ideal for what we wanted. The only negatives - no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and I did request a bottle of wine to be in the room upon arrival for my wife, but unfortunately this did not happen. The hotel facilities such as the gym are modest, but sufficient to enable you to do a work out if you want to. I used the gym twice and found it ideal. The swimming pool inside is warm enough, but not particularly large. It was OK for a leisurely swim, but it is not large. The outside pools are cold as they are not heated, but are well maintained. The food was plentiful, freshly cooked, catered for all tastes. I had rice pudding for breakfast which was a novelty as it is usually a desert in the UK. It was very nice. Admittedly it is a bit of a canteen feel as it is self service, but we had no complaints. Drinks in the restaurant were a bit on the expensive side, but the downstairs bar the drink prices were very reasonable. The spa area was clean, well maintained and a pleasant experience. The staff were lovely, nothing was to much trouble. Some struggled with English, but tried to communicate and were always very professional. We will be visiting this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone else who asks. Like I said earlier the only negative, no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The TV is limited for English channels, but lets face it, who goes on holiday to watch TV ? Thanks for a lovely holiday.
