The apartments were in a lovely location but exactly as the reviews stated - tired and musty although quite adequate for sleeping. They clearly suffered from damp. There was a very nice on site restaurant with other places to eat within walking distance. The area as a whole was very attractive and would be great for children. We would go back to the area again but to different accommodation - although it WAS very cheap! It was about 25 mins to walk to Porec but on a very pleasant route.
My husband and I spent a week (booked as part of a package holiday) here and had booked a basic studio apartment. What we actually got was an apartment with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 balconies! The kitchen area had a fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob and every bit of crockery and cutlery we could have wanted. The showers were great and we had constant hot water. They were spotlessly clean and lovely and quiet. The resort itself is also spotless; there's a good pool area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. It is hilly but we knew that before we arrived. The only 'complaint' is that both of the supermarkets were extremely poorly stocked but it was close to the end of the season. Friendly and helpful staff. If we ever revisit Porec we would definitely stay here again.
4 of us booked through a well known tour operator in the uk and had a 2 bed 1 bath room apartment which was different from what we have ever stayed in and our first time to Croatia to be fair we were only there for a week and the weather could have been better as some damp days the apartment felt damp and smelt strange. We were in a ground floor with a small kitchen diner and lounge all in one with no toaster or kettle which was strange we took our own travel ones but reading other reviews they obtained from the reception. There was an 2 seating areas outside area at the back with tables and chairs and a smaller seating area and table covered by a canopy which the trees from the wooded area blocks out the sun. The complex is very big with lots of steps down to the sea. We were in a good position at the top near the pool and therefore found paths which were easier to manage the complex was spotless and the pool was well used and no problem getting a sun bed as out of season the water was rather chilly we used the bistro on site which was excellent and used every night very reasonably priced Patrick the waiter was very pleasant. The walk into porec takes about 30 minutes on a leisurely stroll and can use the land train for 20 kuna each way Venice by ferry was our highlight of the holiday we are going to return one day when retired
My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Laguna Bellevue. It was the last week of their season but we were very lucky with weather having 22-24 degrees most days with little cloud. The nights quickly cooled and outer layers were needed for dining outside every evening. The resort of Laguna Bellevue and access to all the neighbouring Laguna accommodations was fabulous. Think centreparcs by the sea. Children’s play parks at every turn, slides into the sea, bicycles to hire and beautiful wooded areas to explore. Unfortunately the actual accommodation is very dated and in some instances damp. Caused we think by the apartments being locked up and unused or aired throughout the cold Croatian winter. We would probably try to book accommodation at the neighbouring hotel Mediterranean Laguna or Hotel Galijot to still have access to the whole Laguna resort if we were to return. Within easy strolling access of the beautiful town of Poreč with many bars and restaurants. Our first visit to Croatia was very impressive and will definitely be returning. A boat trip to Venice is a must for about £120 per couple from Poreč harbour.
This is written with the background of a holiday where the weather was awful and we had taken the wrong clothes! Yes, we checked the weather forecast before we packed - but it was so wrong!! We didn't let the weather get us down and managed to get out and about and had some lovely walks when the weather permitted. Stayed here from 12/09 to 26/09/17 and out of the two weeks we had 4 lovely days the rest of the time it was overcast, short sunny spells, thunder lightening and rain. The evenings got very cold as well so much so that we stayed in the last two nights as it was too cold and wet to go out. Would we return to these studios – No, but then I doubt very much that we would go back to Porec as we have seen and done it. We were told that the weather was unusual but we have also been to Bulgaria in September and although we did not get much rain it was overcast and cold so I doubt very much that we would chance a holiday again in this part of the world in September. The room itself was quite spacious and spotlessly clean when we arrived. Good quality furniture (which looked to be fairly newish) and plenty of storage room. There were 10 static wooden hangers in the wardrobe so if you need more I would take them with you. I think we had a room for 3 as the utensils and crockery were for 3 persons but not sure where the 3rd bed would have gone. The patio area is OK but we didn’t get to use it much owing to the weather and the outlook wasn’t very inviting as we were staring at the front of the next row of double decker studio’s. When the sun was out the studio looked ok but as we didn’t see much of it, most of the time, the room was dark and gloomy. I like light and airy rooms so struggled with this a bit. It could have done with another window somewhere. There wasn’t a kettle but we did have one of those little saucepans and a coffee machine. There were plenty of saucepans and other cooking utensils and a microwave. They also provided washing up liquid, a scourer and dishcloth. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of electric lighting and power points to charge things up, there was a full length mirror and a smaller one over the dressing table. As others have mentioned you do get clean sheets but need to make up the bed yourself. The bathroom on arrival looked clean and well furnished. The bath had a shower screen that closed across the bath. There was plenty of space for toiletries - a window sill and long shelf and mirror above the sink. They provided shower gel, shower cap, and shampoo but not sure how often this would be replaced as we used our own. We had clean towels each day and plenty of them too, 2 guest, 2 hand and 2 bath towels. Although the cleaning lady was very friendly and helpful and came in every day and emptied our bins and gave clean towels but I think that is all she did. I cleaned the bathroom daily (out of habit and would have done it anyway) but the floors didn’t look to have been swept or washed. There was a mop and bucket and brush on the patio perhaps we were supposed to have done it. Anyway we are clean people and it didn’t get too messy. I did ask Thomson for a high floor but was allocated ground floor. If I had known that a herd of elephants was going to come in above us I would have asked to be moved but as it was just for the last few nights we were there we put up with it, but if you can get an upstairs room go for it. There was a huge air con unit which unfortunately did not blow hot air which we could have done with but I bet it was brilliant in the hot summer months. Within a few days of us being there mould came on the bathroom ceiling and the whole place felt very damp. Even opening the window in the bathroom while showering and after didn’t stop the mould. It looked newly painted when we got in there so I wondered if this was a common problem and there wasn’t adequate ventilation for the steam. The ceiling was pretty bad by the time we left. I found that keeping the patio door open most of the time seemed to deal with the dampness problem in the room, again I think this was due to lack of ventilation. One thing I found really strange is that the complex and I think the whole of Porec is pet friendly. Pets were staying in the studios with their owners and even coming into the on-site restaurant with their owners. They were well behaved but I just found it strange given we don’t allow pets in eating places. The pool area looks lovely but we did not get to use it. I think that even if the weather had been glorious for the 2 weeks we would probably not have used it as although there were plenty of sun beds they were squeezed too close together and each one was practically touching the next. The restaurant area is nice and the food OK. Most of the eating area is outside so if it’s raining or cold it’s not very pleasant. There is a little shop but it is very expensive, if you can get to the Spar which is on the second floor of a small shopping mall opposite the marina you will find goods half the price. The grounds are very, very well looked after as is the whole of Porec. There are lots of steps to the complex but if you are reasonably fit you shouldn’t find them a problem. There are loads of lovely paved walks around the coast. Cycling is huge out there and I think at times the cyclists outnumber the walkers but everyone is tolerant of each other. The complex is pretty centrally situated, it took us about 20mins to walk into Porec centre but it’s a nice paved walk. There were lots of ATM’s which is what we used for cash. Glad we did that as the exchange rate out there was pretty poor. Food and drink was reasonable and cheaper than we expected. Overall we are glad we went as it’s a beautiful country just a shame about the weather.
For people with walking difficulties it's not the best small banks and steps . Nice friendly staff. Clean.and big apatment. It's quite . Nice relaxing week Way for us.went half board plenty of choice even for me as I am so fussy .It's a slow 10 minutes walk to next hotel where you eat . Porec old town is a lovely place lovely marina shops plenty of resturants and a big supermarket spar has Everything you need if you go self catering.
Lovely place for peaceful holiday clean rooms plenty of towels and sheets left to change Beds. However bathroom tiny could hardly get around door not suitable for 4/5 sharing. Shop runs out of bread early in morning and closes at 4.pm sometimes earlier. Lounge are in appartments small no English tv channels. Good side restaurant and bar excellent value and good selection of food. Lovely staff. Huge pool but a bit cramped on times. ?
Just returned from this hotel and we loved it that much we have booked to go back next year. The hotel was spotless, set in beautiful grounds. Lovely walks into Porec where you could stop to have a drink. There was some lovely places to eat in the surrounding areas by the sea with amazing sun sets! we ate at the sister hotel on a few occasions and like everywhere else the prices are really reasonable and the entertainment was very good. Thank you Bellevue Laguna.... See you next year :)
Stayed here in Aug 2017, first time in Croatia and Porec and Croatia in total is an amazing place, so beautiful, beautiful coastline . Bellevue apartments are basic but please be aware if you are hard of walking or disabled this is not the place for you as there are many many steps and if you request a sea view this means you are at the bottom of the steps and there are a lot to walk back up to reception and the pool. there is a local noddy train that takes you into pores, also water taxi's or you can walk. You also have the added bonus of being able to use the sister hotel Lauguana Mediteran if you want to use their facilities and eat. You can book excursions to Venice, Slovenia and other areas, we did Venice and Slovenia and was absolutely beautiful, I would have loved to have stayed in Venice much longer , it is a long day it takes 3hrs to get to Venice and you only have 4hrs actually in Venice, however please do not let this put you off its an amazing city.
Lovely apartment and complex. Bins emptied everyday and fresh towels every day if required. Location was great and the layout of the apartments was clever as you didn't feel too close to your neighbours. Would definitely recommend
