Great location, but messed up my booking

Initially, the hotel said they didn't have my booking, and told me I was in a wrong hotel, sent me elsewhere. I came back with my booking details, and insisted them to check again, as the address was correct and all was paid for. They then realised that they stuffed up my booking, gave my room to someone else with a similar first name, and gave me another room eventually. Staff smoked in the lobby. Breakfast was adequate but same everyday.

The hotel have such a small bathrooms which is not convenient at all and they have only one room with balcony in the whole hotel however it doesn't really shpws like that when checking for information about the hotel. The breakfast sometimes was nearly finished even though it was a buffet breakfast, the staff seemed not to bothered about that. There was same kind of breakfast every day during my stay. The rooms are so small, only 2 people can fit into a room which is shown as a 3 people room so there isn't a clear description of rhe rooms. Be mindful of that. In one of my room, i couldn't even open or close the door of the toilet because of the extra single bed in such a small room. On the night you cannot even sleep because of the noises from outside. It's non smoking arear where they usually put the breakfast and everyone is smoking so therefore no safety of the food and non pf the staff is stopping people to smoke where the food is. The staff is highly unprofessional and they don't even have the idea of how customers should be treated. The shuttle itself is overcharged when i booked a Mercedes with the facilities on it for airport but i got a dirty and normal van so be mindful booking shuttle.

We started here twice in 1 week.First stay our first room was very small (our booked room not ready),moved to another room for the second night….could barely even open the door to get into the bathroom due to bed blocking door. Could not cool the room down…heat pump would only allow heat.We returned for a third night a little later in the week and the room we got that night was much better.Only downfall was again could not cool the room down…only heat from heat pump.Rooms a little rundown but price was excellent.Good for a place to sleep.

Every hotel I stayed in in Turkey was fantastic, except this one. The young man at the front desk upon checkin was clearly not trained in customer service, or perhaps didn't care to be. I was put in a hotel room without a working bathroom, and told there were no other rooms in the hotel. I don't know if that was true or not as it didn't seem very full. I was offered use of the hotel lobby bathroom instead of the one I paid for in my room. It was late, so I did. No discount or adjustment was offered, no room change, and when I complained about it later they said it was too late because I already stayed in the room. Even a small discount for the inconvenience would have been satisfactory, but the hotel staff thought this was appropriate customer service.

Sweet Hotel

Brilliant locaton within a minute's walk to istiqlal street and all great centre locations. Friendly staff and simple breakfast. Rooms are also basic and comfy. Well worth it for a short stay.

To start with the good bits or the only one good bit was the location which is in the heart of Taksim. Breakfast was AWFUL. I complained to this night shift guy who arranges for breakfast before he finishes his shift for the bread that is never available (from that day onward my airconditioner started tripping and the reset switch was in the office, so you can guess complaining is going to make it worse). The lift is very small and can literally fit no more than 2 people and a small luggage bag. During our stay, the lift was found broken everyday. Though did get fixed in few hours but I had my fair share of climbing stairs up to the fourth floor many times during 5 days of stay. The family room we stayed in was small. Stuffed with a double bed and two single beds and thus no more space to walk around much. The split air-conditioning unit was good on the first day. But it also broke down few times during the stay and it will trip and except two guys from management, it will not be attended immediately. I even had a blackout in one of the nights and ofcourse airconditioning did not come back on till the morning. I am talking about 30 degree in month of August in Istanbul.

We were staying at this hotel for 8 days (3 sisters) we booked the regular triple room, all things was perfectly done,the room was perfect for what we paid, the staff are like family, from mr. Sukri to all the guys and the 2 ladies, always smiling and helpful. If i will again so to istanbul i will sure come back to this hotel. 👍😁
