hello I will visit istanbul for 7 days. And I will be at istanbul royal hotel.. i need good plase with suitable price near my hotel eara for shopping women clothes and gift some frind recommend olivium center???
I just arrived home after a terrible time in the hotel 1- the receptionists don't like to speak other languages they speak only turiskh !!!?? 2- 5 days with a very poor breakfast menu. 3- Most of the staff do not speak other languages. 4- Very small rooms in the old building. 5- one side of the hotel is above bar or restaurant with music to the morning and we couldn't sleep. 6- the last day they asked for 20 $ for the room key because we lost it, - a rule which wasn't mentioned during the check in or posted on the room door, thanks good we found it !!!!!!!!!!!!!. 7- the safety post is not posted on the rooms door so we cannot have an idea of escape route in case of !!!. 8- The cleaning service is below the average. 9- The only positive think to mention is the location. 10- I recommend to the Hotel manager to plan a communication training for their staff about how to deal with their guests. Summary: IT IS A SHAME
Nice hotel ! Wonderfull breakfast buffet , nice staff , very bad wifi at midnight The location of this hotel is very good ! 10 -15 minutes walk from sultanahmet and grand bazar! For me , if i want to return to istanbul i will choose this hotel
renovated in 2011!!!...it is clearly that it is an outdated hotel which must be fully renovated. barely it can mantain a 2 star rating. breakfast is less than ordinary. hygiene is avarage.the good thing is the location only.
I've stayed in istanbul royal hotel for one week . It was good, the room was cleaned they were renovating for the better but without disturbing us . The thing that i've liked the most is the location it's 2 min away from the tramway and 5 min away from the metro that take us by only 2 min to taksim we can go by walking to grand bazar and sultanahmat . I really recommend it for those how are not coming for honeymoon or a luxurious vacation . And if i will go back to turkey for sure i will stay at this hotel. Good for friends going for a shopping or for the traders it was full of clothes traders coming for their business . The breakfast was not very good but not bad about it, in general we didn't like turkish food at all . For this reason not only this hotel but everywhere the food is not good .
Our travel agent booked this property for us at a rate lower than that found on the net. I read the reviews, some negative and indifferent, but since they were quite old, I presumed that some action would have been taken by the management. I was wrong. Negatives Air Conditioning. On arrival, the room given to us was 408, a tiny cubicle with defunct air conditioning. After making noise another room given, bigger in size, but in this also the air conditioning was not working. Another guest suggested that I open the windows because that's what he had done. It worked, but the street noises did disturb. Breakfast. It would have been superb, but the menu is fixed. Same breakfast for 4 days? Room size. In my opinion the room size does not qualify this property as a star hotel, unless the Turkish standards are lax. Positives Great location. Yenikapi station for airport and Taksim Square is 5 minutes walk, and tram to sultanhamet is also five minutes away. Restaurants and bar in the Hotel and immediate surrounding. Ladies in Front Office. Need I say more. General. Don't expect very much out of the hotel room. Would have given it a Four star rating if air conditioning worked, only for its location.
We stayed at this hotel for two days. The room were clean but a bit old fashioned. The washroom was good with hot water facility. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful and staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very near to aksaray metro station and aksaray tramway. There is lot of boutique near the hotel .
This Hotel supplied all the basic needs we required. The breakfast was superb and worth staying just for that. The room was basic, clean and we had a balcony. We spent most of the time visiting sites so used the room to sleep. The Hotel is 1 block from Askaray Tram stop that takes you directly to Saltanahamat for Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palce, Bosphorus for cruises to Asia, Berayit for the Grand Bazar. I used the safe in the room so no lost money issues. I highly recommend for those on medium budget that want a hotel room and close to all amenities. Staff was polite but typically Turkish!
The hotel's location was great; Right next to the train and only about 2 miles from Sultanahmet District. But its far from taqsim square. The staffs were nice. Free wi-fi. If you are in a budget, or you are looking just an accommodation to sleep, this could work to you. Really basic hotel so do not expect any more. I don’t agree with the 4 star rating Not really a 4 Star. Rooms are not very big and smelling of smoke. Buffet breakfast is not very good perhaps include an omelet station for breakfast in the very least.
The hotel had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was fine. I will return here in the future. The location was perfect. It was near the tram and train stations.
