We booked a superior suite, was given what looked like a prison cell decked out in old Ikea items. The curtains were half hanging off, bed was basically a small double mattress on the floor. no bedside tables no side lamps. After complaining we eventually got an "upgrade" to a "superior room" where the bed was basically 2 twins pushed together we had to share a single towel (even after we asked for a second one.) Nothing was cleaned during our stay (no beds made, no fresh towels etc). The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the location but i won't ever use this brand of hotel again. The pictures on the website and even on here are a complete misrepresentation of what the rooms look like. Think scruffy beds, chipped paint cheap furniture and dirty. the fridge door fell off whenever it was opened. The shower didn't even have a wall mount!!! I wish i had taken photos to share on here, but I didn't want anything that depressing on my phone. Its a shame because Grenoble is such a lovely place.

30/4 arrival late night time only for a stop over on our way to Italy, was greeted by a lovely gentleman on the reception, great location over the road from the bus/train station, easy access into the building, hotel overall very dated inside in the corridors; room was a big nice area with twin beds, bathroom&kitchen area. Food options over the road and down the street if arriving late The only negative about the hotel/room was the entire building smelt like smoke but other than that, great hotel, great location and defiantly would return if bypassing Grenoble again

We had a spacious room, overlooking the backs of houses and mountains in the distance. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchenette was well equipped, a bit small space, but served the purpose for us. The bathroom was fine and the heating could be adjusted to a comfortable level. Staff was helpful, and the buffet breakfast was nice. The station was a few minutes walk away. Transaltitude run bus services to a variety of ski resorts, including Les deux Alps and Alpe d'Huez, but also a few less know, yet good ski resorts. You can get a deal with a ski pass and the bus journey becomes literally free, this way they encourage people not to drive. The city centre is walking distance or a few stops by tram A or B.

We stayed in Residhotel on Frid 19 jan. The room was large, comfortable, very clean & had a compact kitchenette where we could make breakfast. There was everything you can imagine in the cupboards, everything you need for making a French meal! The 3 different receptionists were very pleasant & helped us with useful information. They were not the usual sour face receptionists you find in some French hotels. They cared about clients. We were so impressed by this hotel that we asked whether there were more. There are just a few more. If we go back skiing through Grenoble, we wouldnt hesitate in going back.

Great hotel if you're working in the area or just want to keep cost of travelling down by feeding yourself sometimes. The bed was very firm which some may find uncomfortable but personally I loved. The kitchenette was small but had everything you'd need for cooking basic meals. WiFi was a little on the slow side for streaming TV shows in the evening for example, but this has been the case in every hotel I've ever been to in France so I won't hold it against this one specifically. Breakfast is basic, for the cost, but very pleasant. In short, next time I am working in Grenoble I will definitely return to this hotel.

The room was very comfortable, with decent internet. The receptionists were friendly. The corridors need some proper ventilation: it smelt of old carpets. Breakfast needs to improve: options provided was worse than what one would get at some cheap youth hostels.

This hotel is in a great location - very close to the railway station but also with lovely mountain views. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, as well as a useful supermarket. The room was well equipped and very comfortable.

Located opposite the main tram and railway stations with an abundance of shops/restaurants on the doorstep. Get a room at the back and its very quiet. A good value hotel so dont expect the best fixtures and fittings but more than adequate for our families needs.

This hotel is such a great deal! Not only do you get a hotel room, but you also get a kitchenette and a large bathtub! We only stayed for one night but for that one night it was a great experience, especially when we arrived at the train station at 2am and only had to walk across the street to our hotel!

Nice hotel in a decent location. It is straight across from the train station. Room was large with a stove, microwave and fridge. Great views. Good air conditioning. No parking which was annoying. If you go along the road, just after the train station is a car park which is €10 for 24hrs. All in all, decent.
